"I like that they arrived by scheduled time. They didn't charge me more when he realized I had 4 speakers vs 2 for him to hang for my surround sound. Even made a suggestion that would allow a better appearance and my husband was able to mount corner shelf as suggested. Work done looks near and no holes were placed in my walls. <br />My back porch gazebo now illuminates the back yard since we installed the LED lighting. It looks amazing. The owner was very nice, informative and reasonably priced. They left no mess to clean up, and spent almost two hours installing and talking with us on what we can use that is more cost and energy efficient with the same, if not better quality of high definition and more upgrades features. We are definitely using Texas Light & Sound again for future upgrades and/or installation."

"I was very impressed with the service. I am a photography student so I work with a lot of heavy weight programs and very large files. I also do a ton of research along with my school work. After one year of using my brand new laptop for school, I had NO space left on my computer, it was crashing constantly, files were corrupting, and of course, everything was taking forever to load. I called HelloTech for help. They were very understanding of my need for a very complete and fast repair. They were very prompt, diagnosed the issues with my computer, then gave me options on how it could be repaired and modified to accommodate my needs, along with price quotes for each option. Very professional, we worked out a plan that fixed every issue that I had. I am more than happy with my "new" laptop and I would most definitely hire them again!"

"I initially needed repair of master bedroom breaker that keeps tripping when I turn on lights, tv, etc. The appointment schedulers have a cheery, pleasant attitude. They worked around my availability to schedule the appointment. I loved the Technician, Bert Izquierdo, who performed the work. He wore a mask and remained at a distance, per protocol, the entire time. During the thorough inspection, he physically walked us through any problems found. He explained, in detail, each issue, how it could have happened, and resolution. Bert was extremely honest not just with the issues found but with the price as well. He gave us a series of options with pricing in writing. Mr. Electric didnt charge a trip/travel fee nor an Estimate fee, and they make it clear that there is no obligation. Bert was almost finished with the work when I identified another electrical problem. Bert graciously repaired the small problem, and then triple-checked his prior work to ensure it was done correctly. This Tech is a terrific teacher; never using electrician jargon to explain everything. Mr. Electric, you have a top-notch Technician! Because of Berts professionalism, we decided to become a member. We are definitely using you again, however, we will be specifically asking for Technician, Bert Izquierdo. (Once we find an outstanding, 5-star electrician, we tend to keep them)!!! Price paid: $773.42 Time spent on the job: 3+ hours"

"The electricians had to spend a bit of time to determine the precise cause of the power failure. Their remedies were successful. Unfortunately, they were not able to communicate clearly with my wife (I was not there) about any possible problems with our wiring that might need to be fixed in order to prevent or delay future problems. She is sometimes difficult. <br />"

"Lowest of 3 bidders to do this work. Came out and measured area and discussed alternatives to replacing plants. I thought his bid was too low and encouraged him to include more site prep and sprinkler modifications in the bid. He suggested access from an easement for the grass delivery to cut project time from 5 days to 3. He offered to remove and warranty some live plants out of a bed that was blocking access at no charge. <br /> <br /> Was a little difficult scheduling as he had about a 2 week backlog. I had plans to leave town and there was also some fence work being done in that area at the same time with another contractor. He brought extra guys and was able to complete the job in 2 days instead of 3. Looks great."

"I really hate to have to give a bad grade here but as a customer, I would want someone to be honest and straightforward in rating here for me. <br /> I do not recommend this company for new construction jobs. He may be ok for small repairs, but it became apparent that Alaskan is not set up to handle much else. Perhaps this job was just too much for him or his company. He had employee problems, time management problems, money problems, etc. We tried being sympathetic and tried to work with him, but after a while the excuses and damage to property were just too much. <br /> From the start of the discussions/bid, we were never given any type of formal bid or agreed upon amount. Everything was just verbal. We were assured by the owner that all work we wanted done...he could do... no problem. It took us over 7 months of trying to get work done before we finally told the owner we no longer wanted to continue with his services. And even then, there were things we had asked him to do that never got done. And the work was not finished when he left. It was apparent that he just wanted off the job. <br /> There were inconsistencies during the install. A lot of our electrical was designed to be exposed so being neat, consistent and conscious of that fact was extremely important. This was conveyed multiple times to the owner and his employees. Work done by the one or two employees he had was sloppy and poor. Damage was done to our structure in more than one place where care and planning was not done. Most of the damage could not be repaired. Framers had to try and hide or cover up mistakes made by them. This leaves me concerned because if I found the visible damage and mistakes, what was done within the walls that got covered up? <br /> We have recently discovered that one of the electrical fixtures/switches are not working. I contacted Alaskan requesting them to come back and look at the problem. As usual, they told me they would be here in a day or two. They never showed up...never called. The problem remains. <br /> We had hoped to use Alaskan for our new ac/heat install but with all that had happened, we did not have the faith nor trust that the job could be done correctly or in a timely fashion. <br /> I would recommend you be very careful with this company and what work you ask them to perform. Also, be cautious on the timeframe. They will tell you what you want to hear and then may have trouble delivering. <br />"
