I had two extremely large maples on my compact Portland lot, with all sorts of wires, fences and other trees & plants complicating a removal job. Both trees were twice the size of my 3-story home, and for one of the trees I wasn't sure how they could even get a truck in so figured they would have to climb it. The Davey staff approached this job swiftly and professionally.  <br /> Tom handled the quote and scheduling promptly, and came onsite the very first day to check in on the work. Having worked with all sorts of contractors over the years, I really appreciated his professionalism, efficiency, and advice. But, when the guys hit the trees, that's when the magic began!  As I work from home I was able to watch them skillfully take my front tree down with care and creativity. I kept taking pictures of what I was witnessing, and saying out loud, my God, how is he doing that?! <br /> In the end, the only "collateral damage" was my Bleeding Heart plant - which is pretty fragile anyway - and even that only had a couple bent stalks! And apart from the expected amount of wood chips here and there, they cleaned my yard completely, re-set any divets created from falling limbs in the yard, even re-seeded some places as needed. (One word of advice, if they grind the stumps and you want the company to remove the debris, don't forget to ask, as this is not always assumed!) <br /> I have a new and deep appreciation for the arborist trade - this vocation takes skill, strength, brains and artistry - and the Davey Tree staff in particular is also a pleasure to work with! Would (and already have) absolutely recommend them to friends and neighbors! <br />"
