"We are extremely pleased with the work done by H&J Roofing on our roof and gutters. Steve visited us to discuss our specific needs and gave us a thorough education on the materials he would use, and the meticulous cleanup process his crew would use during the job. Steve was professional and courteous and responsive to our follow-up questions. I had gotten four quotes for this job and the price difference from the highest to the lowest around 15,000. While H&J was not the lowest, I chose them because Steve conveyed a lot of thoroughness and pride in his work, and took the time to make sure we understood the whole process. "I would give them a 0 star if i could. This company installed a high-efficiency, EPA-rated woodstove insert that does not heat the room it was installed in. I was told it was the “best bang for the buck” and a reliable unit, but that has not been the case. When I raised concerns after installation, I was told nothing was wrong and was even accused of using unseasoned wood—which was not true. Instead of taking responsibility or offering a solution, they dismissed my concerns and refused to help. Now I am stuck with a unit that doesn't work. The lack of accountability and customer service has been extremely disappointing. Based on my experience, I will not be doing business with them again."
