"We had Derek and his crew build an addition and new trex deck onto our house on 2020. All went well and the results looked fantastic. We asked him to also put in some windows. He ordered them and delivered them and we paid for the product. After calling and emailing him many many times with no response finally 18 months later we had to have someone else do it. Now it's 2025 and the deck trim boards and steps are wrapping. I called trex for warranty work and they informed me the whole deck was improperly installed And I am on my own. Just got an estimate to replace the deck for a cool $7,000. Hopefully the whole addition won't start falling apart around me. They came highly recommended by a Falmouth designer. Not saying this company isn't good, but do your homework. "

FAQs for wood fence repair projects in East-waterboro, ME

The time it takes to install a swimming pool fence varies depending on the project's complexity. A simple installation can be completed in about two hours. However, if your project involves concrete work, regrading, custom installations, or challenging terrain, it could take up to two full days. Each additional factor increases the labor and time needed to ensure your fence meets safety standards.

Yes, installing a lock on your pool gate enhances safety by preventing unauthorized access. A self-closing, self-latching gate with a key-lock mechanism provides strong protection, helping to keep children and pets safe. Securing your pool gate adds an extra layer of security and offers peace of mind when using the pool area.

A pool fence requires a specific height to secure the pool area. In most states, the fence must be 48 inches tall; some regulations require 60 inches for enhanced safety. Checking local building codes guarantees compliance with these height requirements. A taller fence strengthens protection and improves the overall security of your pool area, ensuring it meets stringent safety standards.

Mesh and tempered glass are among the safest pool fencing choices because their design and smooth surfaces make them resistant to climbing attempts. They provide consistent, rigid barriers that prevent unauthorized access to your pool area. These materials ensure optimal safety for children and pets. In addition, incorporating a pool safety net further enhances protection and addresses additional security concerns, ensuring that your pool remains a safe environment for all users.

Pool fencing requirements vary by local, state, and federal regulations. In most states, installing a pool fence is mandatory for safety and insurance purposes. Ask your pool fence pro for local regulations or check with your local planning department to understand the specific height and design requirements for your area. Complying with these regulations ensures legal compliance and enhances safety.
