"Ideally, 3 seperate reviews should be done, because i interfaced with 3 seperate people. basically the technicians were punctual and friendly. the first technician, John was just at my apt for drywall repairs. He is on the verge of retirement (in his 60s) and didn't do a good job. the next day the paint was peeling/cracking. Then I emailed/called Anne Sheridan (who answers the phone) since Mr. Handyman has a guarantee on their work. She basically accused me of lying and we had to go back and forth at least 4 times over email and have a long winded phone call just to have a return technician to resolve the situation. So Anne can improve her soft skills; it shouldn't be a hassle to resolve a situation. I also asked that her manager call me, but I never got a call. Finally another technician, Michael O'Donnell was sent out. He was not just friendly, but also great at his job. When he left the drywall looked good and stayed that way. I also needed additional work done (shelving and door locks) which Michael repaired quickly and effectively. Mr. Handyman is a little pricey though...I wish the hourly rate was more affordable. However, the friendliness, vetting, punctuality, and competence of the technicians as well as the guarantee makes their service worthwhile."

He figured out an ingenious way to hoist the heavy door to the second floor, and very skillfully and quickly adjusted the frame to fit the door, and affixed the heavy-duty hinges. And for the first-floor door, he figured out a way to repair the existing frame (rather than replace it), thereby saving me hundreds of dollars. All the work was done to a very high standard by a skilled professional who worked quickly and efficiently. And the price-tag for all this was remarkably low -- only a third the price I'd been quoted by another local handyman firm. I am delighted to have discovered Bryan, and look forward to calling him the next time I need help with a home repair."

Previously a locksmith we hired came out and claimed that the lock was broken, missing pieces, and had bent parts. I should find a finish carpenter and replace the mechanism - hence I ended up calling Greg. Greg was able to take a look. He was able to reassemble the lock, clean the mechanism, and bring it back to working condition. Greg was very professional and thorough in his work. "This was our 2nd job with Eric. It was a complete renovation with demolition down to the studs, removal of a wall and move of door to the guest powder room and move/enlarge the exterior door. John, who did most of the work, was great. It's an old house so of course there were surprises and some decisions couldn't be made until the demo was done. The job started in mid-January and John was able to get the kitchen functional just as NJ was shutting down due to the pandemic which was a huge relief. As we settled in to quarantine, he was able to get the final items done - backsplash, painting, misc. We now have a beautiful new kitchen."
