"Before choosing window king we had several companies come to our home. Pella, power and another smaller company. Then we had Sam from window king come by. Sam was extremely knowledgeable about the product and was patient with answering questions. We were impressed by the fact that he never pressured us to make a commitment. Afterwards I read many reviews and even looked up the okna company but we still weren't sold.. So I spoke with Sam again and he offered a better deal on the windows so we moved forward... Lisa called me to make arrangements.. when the mechanic came to take the measurements I was out and my daughter didnt give the proper instructions so they were wrong.. Again i spoke with Lisa and she had him come by and remeasure I was extremely grateful. After a couple of weeks I was wondering about the windows so I called and to my surprise Sam whom I was so impressed with was extremely rude and disrespectful towards me.. I was so angry I wanted to cancel my order but Lisa spoke with me and was very apologetic. The next day Nick (the owner) called he was apologetic as well. He expressed how important customers are to him snd did everything in his power to correct the situation. During the next couple of days I got several calls from Lisa letting me know when the windows would come and who would install them. The day of install Rafeal, Anthony, and Shorty as they called him came on time, and ready to work. They did an awesome job Anthony worked especially hard.. The windows look amazing... They worked straight through and man it was hot that day.. they also cleaned up after themselves. Honestly had it not been for Lisa I would have gone elsewhere. She saved the day or sale.. Her customer service is amazing and to me seemed genuine.. I also wanted to mention that Nick came over while the windows were being installed and spoke with me again. If your looking fo windows that look great, and are installed professionally and efficient this is the place to go.. Just avoid Sam.. LISA, NICK, AND THE GUYS WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND TO MAKE ME HAPPY. Greatly appreciated Thank you!!"

"Everything went smoothly, as on the prior occasion when I used Mike the Glazier. First someone came and measured, then I was given a price, then about two weeks later someone came and installed the windows and screens. Fine and reliable work. <br>"

"I'll start by saying that Peter and his installation crew were nice people and they do great work. I had ordered 3 doors, 2 of them which were custom, and was told it would be installed in 2 weeks. Now I understand that a custom order could be a little delayed but 2 weeks turned into 2 and a half months! I signed with them in March and they finished in June! So much for 2 weeks. The custom door issue is no excuse because they knew I was ordering custom doors and still said it was only going to be 2 weeks. Even the installer left me voicemails saying "he's never seen problems like this waiting for a door". Never once did I complain to Peter and his crew and although my wife and I became very frustrated, we were very patient and understanding. During the install of the doors and gutters, they had to put in wood planks to support a gutter(which I paid extra for) and the base of my door, and the new door had to be pushed back in order to fit. Now I have exposed wood planks on the front of my house which are an eyesore including a scratched up door jamb due to them having to move the door back. Now I'm a new homeowner and maybe this is something that is normal but I would think that once the job was completed, these new cosmetic problems that were the result of the install would be fixed. Even my neighbor who has hired people to fix doors in the past says they have never left a job looking like that. I called Peter as soon as the job was done to ask if they could complete the job for me by fixing these cosmetic issues the job left behind. You would think for my patience, never once complaining, and having to wait 2 whole months later than expected this would've been taken care of as a courtesy? No. All they did was offer to send a painter, in which I would have to negotiate a payment with. Because of this, I'm an unsatisfied customer."

"They were on-time in all cases, efficient and speedy in their job. The first time one of the windows provided was the wrong size despite them having measured it. Once I got a hold of the manager of the office, they did fix it at their cost, although initially, were trying not to. Sending pictures of the 2 inch gap and getting the manager were key. The result was that I was satisfied with the final job. I did hire them again to replace a window that the double paned sealant broker and I needed a new window. They were very efficient in the replacement and cleaned up after themselves well despite having to break the original glass to do the replacement."

"Ed responded to my home at 9:00 AM as promised. By now, I had 5 other waterproofing companies recommended by either Home Advisor or Angies List over for estimates and was fairly used to the routine. A big book carried by the salesman touting their particular organization on BBB, Home Advisor, Angie's List Google, Yelp, etc...Then an examination of the basement and in a few cases, the exterior of the house. Then came the "doom and gloom" part of the presentation... The majority of the salesmen would educate me on Hydro-static pressure and the danger it presented to my house. Evidently, we were living in a clay pot filled with water that was constantly apply pressure and attempting to enter my house through cracks in the foundation. I was also reminded of the constant rise in the "water table" in my area (Malverne). The only resolution to this dilemma was apparently to dig a perimeter ditch on the interior of my basement walls, install a "french drain" or some similar variation of plastic tubing with perforated holes, install a sump pump ( or 2) and seal in the drain with concrete. The damage to the "finished" basement would have been substantial and MY responsibility to make whole again! :( . Some variance in the pricing was based on the amount of perimeter suggested to be covered. From either the one wall where the water was coming in to the whole basement to prevent future occurrences... From $5000- $13,000. Again, NOT INCLUDING my cost to repair the damage to my sheet rock walls, baseboard and baseboard heating repairs... Add another $3-3500. Only one contractor suggested sealing the wall on the exterior which involved excavation , hydro-static cement to fill the cracks, Karnac tar, a membrane and a vapor barrier for $5,600. Enter Edward from E & M Waterproofing... No big book, 5 minutes in my basement and and a quick look outside. He informs me that I should dig out the dirt by the casement window approximately 20 inches down and back fill with gravel six inches from the sill. I also installed a new plastic shield above said window. I asked him about all the "doom and gloom" scenarios that I had already absorbed over the last week and he stated that since my leakage was event driven (Rain), he did not believe that I had water coming from underneath my house. The water table in my area HAD NOT risen and that the installation of "french drains" would be useless and ineffective in my case. The kicker was when he found my sewer trap and pointed out that I had "a hole in my foundation" where the pipe went into the ground. If my house was indeed taking on water, this would have been the first place I would have seen it!. It was dry as a bone. He also, gave me an estimate ($3,500 ) to seal the outside wall if necessary ( for my peace of mind, just in case). He did not charge for his advice and told me that he had 10 more estimates to complete knowing that he might only get 4-5 jobs due to his honesty. Needless to say, I followed his instructions that day (Mid-August) and have not had a drop of water since then. All in all, I would highly recommend E & M Waterproofing to anyone with any kind of water issues in their homes. I felt a little bit like Diogenes the Cynic until I met Edward, who has restored some of my faith in mankind... :)"
