"Mike was our installer. Both professional and personable. He installed our system in less than two hours on 3/4 of an acre. Also gave me piece of mind concerning the system. I was worried since the road which fronts our yard has a 55 mph speed limit. He also trained my wife and I in the nuances of fence concerning our dog. I would highly recommended Dog Guard. I will try to remember to give an update in a few weeks."

"His response was timely. His knowledge was evident. He found the break in our underground fence and repaired it on the spot. He was kind to our rescue border collie that benefits daily from the freedom this fence affords him. Andy was professional in all aspects, & I would highly recommend his services!!"

"We received prompt attention when I called for an estimate.  We went over what I needed done and walked off the project while measurements were taken.  The proposal was prompt with installation proposed to start in a reasonable time.  When the work started, the contractor installed fence around an area that was not supposed to be fenced.  This was not a problem for me but increased the proposed cost of the project.  I then learned that there was a mistake on the proposal.  The contractor based his estimate on a much smaller portion of my yard being fenced.  The contractor admitted that he remembered going over and measuring the perimeter that I desired.  We settled on the contractor absorbing the cost of the portion of my yard that I had not requested to be fenced.  For the portion of the project that was improperly estimated, we settled on my paying for the additional materials but not labor.  The added cost of the project was $850.  Had the proposal been accurately bid, the additional cost of the project would have played a part in my selection of a contractor and type of fence installed.  I suggest that if you use this contractor you should insist on a detailed sketch of the project.  We did not receive a drawing.   <br />    <br /> <br /> <br />"

"Bert was the easiest contractor I have ever worked with.  His <br /> communication skills and professionalism are above all.  I have never <br /> seen anyone take such care to keep a work area so neat and tidy in <br /> between working times as Bert.  He kept extra special care to keep dust <br /> out of the rest of the room while repairing water damage to our plaster <br /> walls by setting up floor to ceiling plastic barriers.  He even put <br /> tacky board down to step away from the work site onto plastic runners <br /> over the carpeting so as not to leave any dust.  When Bert was gone for <br /> the evening, you did not know he had been there!  His work is <br /> meticulous.  He is on time to just about the second to when he says he <br /> will be on the job.  He communicates by email or phone to confirm dates <br /> and times.  If you have any questions he is happy to answer.  I only <br /> wish I could have Bert do work on the house I am purchasing in Indiana.  <br /> Bert has a waiting list, so if you want to have him do work for you, <br /> plan ahead! <br />"

"The crew arrived when scheduled and they were all very polite. I interacted with them for the two days they were here and everything went great. The company owner came each day to make sure I was happy. I am waiting to see the grass grow!! I would recommend Stubenhofer for lawn repairs!!"

FAQs for wood fence repair projects in Erie, PA

The time it takes to install a swimming pool fence varies depending on the project's complexity. A simple installation can be completed in about two hours. However, if your project involves concrete work, regrading, custom installations, or challenging terrain, it could take up to two full days. Each additional factor increases the labor and time needed to ensure your fence meets safety standards.

Yes, installing a lock on your pool gate enhances safety by preventing unauthorized access. A self-closing, self-latching gate with a key-lock mechanism provides strong protection, helping to keep children and pets safe. Securing your pool gate adds an extra layer of security and offers peace of mind when using the pool area.

A pool fence requires a specific height to secure the pool area. In most states, the fence must be 48 inches tall; some regulations require 60 inches for enhanced safety. Checking local building codes guarantees compliance with these height requirements. A taller fence strengthens protection and improves the overall security of your pool area, ensuring it meets stringent safety standards.

Mesh and tempered glass are among the safest pool fencing choices because their design and smooth surfaces make them resistant to climbing attempts. They provide consistent, rigid barriers that prevent unauthorized access to your pool area. These materials ensure optimal safety for children and pets. In addition, incorporating a pool safety net further enhances protection and addresses additional security concerns, ensuring that your pool remains a safe environment for all users.

Pool fencing requirements vary by local, state, and federal regulations. In most states, installing a pool fence is mandatory for safety and insurance purposes. Ask your pool fence pro for local regulations or check with your local planning department to understand the specific height and design requirements for your area. Complying with these regulations ensures legal compliance and enhances safety.
