Our home is new to us, but was built in the 70s, we were unaware of how bad the electrical wiring was, the Inspector, for some reason, didn't catch it when we bought the house. There was an older breaker box inside my husband's closet also, the wiring inside was a jumbled mess and had several burned areas. We were extremely lucky our house hadn't already burned down. They left everything ship shape and gave us a walkthrough when done to make sure everything was in order and all the breakers were properly labeled.
