Small jobs welcome

"Nate was extremely professional, spent time assessing the power wash of the house, coming back with a competitive estimate. He explained every step of the job to be done, particularly a difficult issue to clean. He demonstrated a level of resourcefulness, in particular to the difficult issue of vine clinging to the vinyl siding. His promptness and efficiency seem to be some of the hallmarks of his work ethic. I highly recommend Nate for power washing of house."

"Basically things went well.  When we had questions or concerns, they were addressed promptly. All the painters were pleasant and professional.  I reserved my review until a year passed  because the quality of a paint job cannot be analyzed immediately.  We did have to call Clarke back after a year for some touch-up work.  They responded promptly and took care of the areas of concern. <br />"

"Matthias did an amazing job cleaning up my house gutter. My gutters had a ton of work since I hadn't cleaned it up for a long time. Matthias came over and did a thorough job that was really impressive. Highly recommend Smalley to anyone looking for help with their gutter."

"Tyler was very professional and answered all my questions. As well a bring up concerns that that I should have about the care of ones roof. We were able to create a plan for my roof over the phone. This made it easy to schedule the work at our connivence. He described the process and chemicals being used; and their effect on my plants and cedar shingles. He did explain that it may take 2 to 3 months for the roof to become completely clean. But assured that he could come back in a few months if wanted to get the roof rinsed off with a hose and not a high pressure washer. I’m looking forward to a clean roof."

"Gutters-Good work.  I discovered that one particularly long piece of gutter needed an adjustment and  they were quick to come back out. <br /> They replaced window trim and roof line trim and painted.  They did a great job of residing the same side of the house as well-much better looking than what was up there. <br /> Chris went out of his way for me to get the exact matching siding.  It required a long drive. <br />"

"For the attached garage, they gave with a lot of thing in it I did not want. For the detached garage, they gave me just the price, they gave me no specs on the detached garage. They did not give me a list of referrals, whereas the other company gave that voluntarily. I have seen their work in the area and they do good work. I did not give me exactly what I wanted upfront and I had to ask for references and that is the only reason I am going to go with the other company. They were upfront with everything else. They were on time and they called. There was nothing wrong with them, I just went the one better suited me."

"<p>Said they would do clean up, left a lot of debris around the house</p> <p>Said they could do shingles siding but really didn't know what they were doing - when I saw the job and asked them to redo much of it because it was not level or inline with the rest of the house.  </p> <p>Thought they would make it good, but rushed through fixing the issues - then never heard from them again.</p> <p><br /></p> <br />"

FAQs for roof cleaning service projects in Augusta, ME

To find a reputable ice dam removal company, check verified customer reviews and ensure they have the proper credentials. Look at online testimonials and consult reputable agencies like the Better Business Bureau to validate their service record. Contact the company to ask about their experience, hourly rates, and safety practices. This helps ensure you're hiring a pro with proven expertise and a solid track record to protect your home from ice dam damage.

Ice dams can cause extensive damage that jeopardizes your entire roof structure. They can lead to issues like attic condensation, broken roof sheathing, persistent leaks, visible wall water stains, mold in your attic insulation, sagging drywall, rotting attic framing, and roof collapse. This damage compromises your home's integrity and requires immediate professional attention to ensure proper repair and safety.

Most insurance policies don’t include coverage for the removal of ice dams since it's considered preventive maintenance. However, damage caused by ice dams—such as roof collapse, extensive water damage, or structural failures—may be covered by your policy. It's a good idea to contact your insurance provider to understand your coverage.

Removing snow from your roof can help prevent ice dams. Use a proper roof rake from the ground or a safe ladder—never climb onto an icy roof. Also, consider addressing any inadequate attic insulation that may cause heat leakage. Promptly clearing snow minimizes risks and helps maintain a safe, durable roof.
