"They installed a patio in my backyard with Cambridge pavers which turned out absolutely beautiful. The design and pattern is just outstanding. They also put a belgium block border on both sides of my driveway on a 35 degree angle which added the final touch to the Cambridge paver driveway that Classical pavers did a few years ago. The crew that did this project and my driveway are very professional and polite. I have recommended Classical Pavers to many family and friends. The owner is very honest and a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. They are the best around without a doubt."

Small jobs welcome

"I had an excellent experience with Jason's Masonry, who recently installed a new paver driveway and walkway to replace our old asphalt and concrete. Jason provided detailed information about the work and the steps involved in the process. His crew was very detail-oriented, making precise cuts and offering great advice on the aesthetics of the project. I would definitely recommend Jason's Masonry for any concrete or paver work."

"Chris the owner was great to work with. He installed and replaced our crumbling front stairs with blocks, pavers, and bluestone treads. He also built a small block retaining wall around a flower bed, installed a freeform paver walkway, a paver border around a mulched area, and pavers under an arbor entrance to my backyard. Chris was extremely accommodating with a good eye for his craft. We had an idea of what we wanted and Chris interpretation was better than our visions. The job went smoothly and was finished faster than originally stated. The job foreman and workers were all pleasant and also very accommodating. Although Chris was not always at the job site, he did pop in periodically and was available anytime we needed him. It has been about a year since the job was completed and we are still very happy with the results and everything looks great! I have and will continue to recommend Landscape Images."

"In a word, D&S does spectacular perfect work. Don and Isaac and their crews are the definition of professionals and experts in their craft of design and execution of hardscape, and good people. We did a complete renovation of our house which entailed 1. the removal of 13 mature trees and visibly gnarly roots; design and installation of: 2 an 800SF patio (after excavating a giant concrete slab), 3. Three walkways, and 4. Drainage, 5. A new paver driveway, 6. A new and expanded front landing, 7. New flower box, 8. Garage drainage and concrete floor enhancement and 9. Lighting. The results are stunning and have enhanced the beauty and functionality of our home into a serene and solid oasis. D&S did a perfect job, on time, for exactly the prices quoted. Further, the individual attention Don in particular paid to me and my family to help us with design and decisions and budget was most appreciated. I give D&S my highest recommendation. Hire them! You'll be completely satisfied and happy!"

"They did a holiday lighting for us. They came on Thanksgivings day and got the job done in a few hours. Did a great professional job. Easy to talk to and responsible. They asked me to send pictures of the lights at night to see how it looks. Out of hundreds of light bulbs, the spotted two light bulbs were not lit and told me they will come back next week to replace them. "

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Farmingdale, NJ

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
