"Just had a great experience with Carolina Foundation Solutions. Andrew provided a clear overview of the options for a bowing basement wall and settling corner. Robert, Wesley, and Marvin did the work. Andrew knew the pros and cons for the solutions and explained them well. I am a tough-minded engineer and have very high standards for worksmanship. Robert, Wesley, and Marvin did a FANTASTIC job. They were punctual, thorough, and professional. They put in helical supports for the corner and carbon fiber straps for the bowing wall. I did not do any comparison pricing."

"Paul was very customer oriented, meeting onsite and listening to what was wanted. <br /> He presented a detailed estimate within two weeks and set my expectation on when he could start. <br /> He started on time and finished with minimal days onsite even after encountering an issue. <br /> His team was professional and very hard working which I attribute to their ability to complete the task in a difficult terrain setting and in a short time frame. <br /> Throughout the process, Paul and his team communicated extremely well. <br /> The one day that the team did take off during the project was for training by one of their suppliers. This furthered strengthen my observation that Paul brought quality professionals to the job site. <br />"

"Expert House Movers brought a crew of 6-8 & came in late August 2013 to start the process of raising & moving the house.  My husband had done all the prep work of disconnecting the utilities & removing the furnace, etc. They dug access ramps to the old foundation/basement with bobcats.  They poked good sized holes around the foundation so they could put in steel beams and jack up the house.  Our foundation was from 1917 & built from old creek gravel cement, so it was pretty tough.  It took three & half days to jack the house & move it over the driveway.  It seemed really fast to me.  The only thing to fall in the house was a picture off the piano.  We still had access to the house through a tall ladder to get clothes, etc. that we needed. <br /> We took over the process of arranging excavation, concrete pouring, and carpenters with more local contractors.  Expert does have concrete people & others they use in the St Louis area that know exactly the requirements needed for the new foundation. <br /> After the basement was poured & cured (curing takes about 3-4 weeks), Expert returned in October 2013 to move & set the house.  They had been in contact with the concrete man for specifications, but there were no slots for the beams when setting the house down.  A concrete worker had to come & cut those slots.  We had a carpenter on hand to finish the sill installment & make sure the sills for the permanent beams was correct & set the support posts in the basement.  We also had a friend's tractor help Expert's bobcat pull the house back over the foundation.  While all this was going on, Expert was jacking and moving supports & placing slider beams & raising & lowering the house.  The process was complete in about 2 1/2 days with care & precision.  Some of the cracks in our house even disappeared.  Great job guys. <br /> Our carpenters returned to build a staircase & some other requirements.  We are working on re-connecting utilities & returning the furnace, water heater, etc. to the new basement.  We plan to move back into the house in the first week or so in November 2013.  It's been a long process, but well worth it.  Made possible by Expert House Movers! <br />"

"Everything went extremely well, considering how difficult it is to find reputable contractors these days. I scheduled an appointment with Nehemiah for an estimate on a new heat pump, since mine has been unable to properly heat and cool during the extremes of the summer/winter (which are not really that bad in western NC). He came out on time and was very friendly and upfront with every issue he found. After a thorough inspection of my heat pump, air handler and ductwork, he performed a load calculation to ensure my unit was properly sized (which it was), and then proceeded to offer alternative solutions since the unit seemed to be running well. He suggested I look into modifying the ductwork in my attic as it seemed like there was not enough airflow on either the return or supply paths. His estimates were very fair; more so than the other three contractors I had come out. He was only one of two contractors that actually took out a tape measure and performed a load calculation, which was surprising to me. I had him come back to perform the repairs and modifications, and he was once again on time with all supplies (minus the air filter for the newly installed return) on hand. He did a good majority of cutting outside, and most of the drywall work dust was kept to a minimum, as well. In the end, he didn't try to sell me a heat pump I didn't really need. He performed all work (enlarging two supply ducts in our living room, adding an additional supply in our guest room, adding a second return, patching leaking ducts in the attic, enlarging the main supply duct, blocking off basement ducts that were only robbing pressure and air volume, cleaning the condensate drain, cleaning the condenser coils, and checking the refrigerant charge) in one day with a very capable assistant. They did not make a huge mess, and also offered to clean everything up when they were through. They did not require any money upfront, either, which is a huge piece of mind factor for me. Additionally, he didn't add any hidden charges onto the bill after the fact. All in all, this was a great experience, and he was right. Aside from some insulation issues in the attic, the new ductwork seems to be the solution to our issues. We have cold air, finally, and our AC isn't constantly struggling to maintain temperature when it's not even that hot outside (setpoint of 77-78F when it's 90F outdoors). When it comes time for a new heat pump, I'll give him a call first. Hopefully the rest of Triangle's technicians are this good. Either that or I will request him by name."

"He charges us less because we knew him before he even had contractor pricing. He also got my husband's mother's house and he remodeled it. In fact, he';s having an open house this weekend. His services are good and he tries to come as soon as he can. He's very good."

"Frank made an appointment to come over and do a test application to the driveway and sidewalk areas where we had new concrete that was painted. Although this concrete was painted it contained the polymer called sure-grip. The area of the new concrete was still very slippery. I had broken my ankle by slipping on the driveway in a rainstorm on the 4 NOV. Franks also said the test was a no cost or obligation to me and he would like to show us what the product could do and find out just what exactly was the problem.  <br /> The results were very impressive even with water on the surface of the treated area. Our next step was to make an appointment to have the trouble area treated. The weather needed to cooperate and by 9 DEC we had a good couple of days in which the treatment could be applied. Frank and his business partner came and prepped the driveway with a degreaser type soap and then let things dry . After that the chemical was put down that  would increase the surface tension on the driveway. While the first coat was drying, Frank came in and applied the treatment to the ceramic floor tiles in the  walk in shower. Both areas were left to settle and after  the guys went and got a bite to eat. A second coat was applied. We stayed off the driveway for a good 36 hours ; however, the shower was ready for immediate use. Everyone who has" slip slided away "on the drive, sidewalk and in the shower were happy and  made comments as to how different the surface felt and that there was definitely more traction. Frank told me he would call me to check on how things were and in 6 months would come out and check the areas that the treatment was applied.  <br /> I would not hesitate to  refer Frank Garriga and the Slip Doctors to anyone who had a similar problem. They were courteous, professional, friendly and provided a much needed service for me and my family to prevent any further injury and or loss of work time. It was difficult to find someone who had a solution to the problem but "Slip Doctors " got it done!! Thanks Guys.  <br /> <br />"

FAQs for concrete flatwork repair & resurface projects in Ferguson, NC

When evaluating whether patching can address your concrete blemishes, it’s important to assess the extent of the damage. Minor issues such as small cracks or chipped areas may be effectively repaired with patching techniques that restore the surface’s appearance. However, if you notice widespread deterioration, significant cracks, or structural weakening, resurfacing is recommended as a more durable, long‑term solution. A thorough evaluation by a concrete specialist can help determine the best course of action for restoring your concrete to its optimal condition.

The optimal time to resurface your concrete driveway is late spring. This period benefits from warm temperatures and softened ground conditions following winter’s freeze‑thaw cycles, ensuring that the new overlay bonds securely and matures to a durable finish. Resurfacing at this time also enhances your property's safety and curb appeal. Engage a concrete professional to schedule your project during this ideal season.
