"Overall a great experience.  My yard is looking good, and they aerated and seeded it, so I expect a green lawn all the way into December. <br /> <br /> Pros: <br /> <ul> <li> Great customer service - real people who call you back!</li> </ul>  Good web site, easy to pay online <br />  Good email communication - they tell you when they came out and what they did <br />  My yard looks great, and still improving! <br /> Cons: <br />  As with any of these services, be careful to confirm all the work was done.  The guys on the truck are busy, and its easy for them to miss a stop.  On my first treatment, I was supposed to get both a spray treatment, and granulated fertilizer.   They came out and did the spray, but not the granules.  I called customer service, and they were quick to reschedule the work. <br /> <br /> Also, I recommend emphasizing how you want to be communicated with.  I made a few inquiries through the online site, but got my responses via telephone.  Unfortunately, some of the messages didn't get through to me.  Make sure they email you on all correspondence.  At least for me, this was easier. <br /> <br />"

"We just moved into a large house in Hickory from New Mexico. We had nothing that could maintain such a huge lawn area. We tried several lawn services and none were punctual (as in not showing up 2 weeks in a row). Across from the church we attend is a home with a lovely yard....well trimmed....plantings healthy.... and a sign that said: Maintained by The Ground Keeper. After the latest and quot;no showand quot;, we drove by the sign and called the number. I got a very pleasant human being who took my number and address and said that Steve would come out the next day to chat with me at our home. Steve arrived as promised and asked me to let him mow the lawn first to get a feel for it before discussing price with no obligation. After finishing (he and his partner did a very nice job), we agreed on a price and a set day for it to be mowed. He also walked my wife and I around our entire yard, told us what every planting was, what care it needed now (if any) and care in the future. His partner offered us options for altering our back yard tree line including tree removal and tree planting. <br /> <br /> Two weeks ago we decided to remove a tree in our back yard and replace it with a crepe myrtle. I mentioned it to Steve and he asked us to let him see if he could get us a good tree at a better price than we could get for the same size. Last week he chatted with me to make sure of the color, size, and price and mentioned that a second crepe myrtle could be planted to balance the yard better. The end result is that Steve and his partner showed up last week as scheduled, mowed the lawn, dug out that big old tree with a small backhoe, planted 2 large gorgeous crepe myrtles and hauled off the stump for $275. We weren't even home while it was being done and it was all done perfectly. <br />"

"Paul did an excellent job--start to finish.  He came over a number of times to consult with us and I changed my mind 3 or 4 times before we all came up with a plan that I liked.  He was patient and professional through all that.  He drew a detailed plan of the property and explained every move he would make before he made it.  He asked for my approval after each step as he completed it.  I was totally impressed with him and his crew.  I love the final result and it was a difficult project.  I have already asked him to give me an estimate for a new project.  Highly recommend this company. <br />"

"I called Clegg's and scheduled an appointment for an estimate. JJ came out as scheduled and gave me an estimate for termite treatment and yard spray for mosquitos (rated separately). The estimate paperwork was pretty straightforward, but I had to verify the fuzzy carbon copied information on my copy. I was surprised that there was no guarantee to pay for future damage like other companies claimed, just a promise of retreatment if I kept up the annual fee - at least I learned that up front. After negotiating the price and what would be included, he had me document my request via email, including the agreed final price, so he could go ahead and have the termite team set up a time at my convenience. They were very accommodating about my work schedule. <br /> The two man team came out close to the appointment time, did a thorough job of drilling, trenching and infusing the Termidor pesticide (fipronil) for about 3.5 hours. They made sure the drilled holes were as inconspicuous as possible along the foundation and inside the garage. They quit promptly at 5:00PM with part of the house remaining, but luckily I had time off work the next day. The team came back for another hour (one different man) and finished the infusing of the holes, sealed every one with cement and cleaned up very nicely. The team steadily worked hard and got the job done. Other than the necessary hundreds of filled holes needed to get the pesticide under the slab, the house base looked clean and neat. <br /> As far as the billing, I thought I would get a bill in the mail, but was called while at a family event to immediately pay the bill in full with my credit card over the phone. I didn't mind paying quickly, but didn't know that would be the process. That would be good to understand up front. <br /> I went with Clegg's even though they were a little higher estimate because when I asked the chemical name for the Termidor, JJ honestly stated he did not know, but would get back to me with the information. Another company gave me misleading information, claiming their product and costs were cheaper because they used the "generic Termidor." I looked it up later and found out it was a completely different chemical - ignorance or deception? A third company never answered their phone, but I couldn't delay getting the treatment done. I was happy with Cleggs termite service (separate review for yard spray). <br />"

"They arrived to review the project and then they promptly arranged for the work to be completed when our schedule was available. The two gentleman arrived within three days of our call. Once on site, the project was discussed and confirmed with the machine operator. Throughout the work, the operator confirmed with us on a regular bases that what we verbalized was what was being completed. Once the grading was completed, we also asked for them to over seed and distribute straw over the disrupted ground. We are very satisfied with their professionalism, timeliness, and final work; and plan to use them on future projects."
