"After doing some research, I had a preliminary view of what needed to be done and the cost of the material for the work. Then, I contacted 5 electricians to get written estimates for the work. Four of the electricians quoted a price that was more expensive than Glenn. One electrician suggested replacing my current 200 AMP, 30-circuit electrical panel that was maxed out at 38 circuits, with a 40-circuit panel thereby only gaining 2 additional slots. Another electrician suggested instead installing a 100 AMP, 20-circuit sub-panel, which was the correct recommendation, per my research. Glenn also suggested this approach, so I immediately knew that I was dealing with a straight shooter. While price was an important part of the decision making process for selecting an electrician, price was not the only reason I decided to go with Glenn. Of course, he had outstanding reviews on Angle’s list (A ratings only), but of all of the electricians, he was the MOST thorough and MOST detailed at exploring what needed to be done and he explained everything step by step ... he also asked a lot of questions and analyzed my current electrical setup before making a recommendation. He provided a very comprehensive recommendation with 3 different options for me to choose from that provided an efficient sub- panel set up that was also cost efficient, but all 3 recommendations solved my problem. I decided to go with a 100 AMP 20 circuit sub-panel that will provide me with plenty room to expand in the future. Glenn completed all work in 2 days and I was extremely pleased with the job he did. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable regarding his trade, he is also very professional, quite personable; a very nice person. It was a pleasure to work with him and as I told him after the job was completed, he will be "my electrician guy" going forward. I "highly" recommend Glenn ... simply put, he is OUTSTANDING!!"

"My technician Dave is the best. Dave has visited my home on more than one occasion. He is friendly and respectful. Always willing to answer my questions. Explains each job thoroughly. Explains in language I can understand. I called GEN 3 for what I believed to be an electrical problem that resulted in my central air not working. Dave was able to determine the problem, and fixed the problem. In addition, Dave advised me that there was other electrical issues that needed immediate attention. Those issues were also resolved, by installing a new 100 AMP Grounding System. I feel better, feel safer, as a result of Dave’s visit. He is a very valuable GEN 3 employee."

"I hired Lights On Electric to run an underground line from the electric panel in my home to my new storage shed, 80 feet within the home and 100 feet buried conduit to the electric panel in the shed. This required a rental trencher and some difficult hand digging. The work was done in one day by Hank and Chris. They are able technicians and they did an excellent job. "The quote was nearly 50% higher than our lowest quote and about 25% higher than the next highest quote. Also, the electrician recommended a GFCI breaker, which would have been incompatible with our installation (the outlet was to be used with an electric vehicle charger that has built-in GFCI protection). Doubling up on the GFCI can cause problems and is against the installation directions. I wouldn't expect the electrician to know this necessarily (he didn't see the installation directions), but he boasted that they have worked with Teslas, so perhaps he should know (or stop using that as a selling point). Wes Carver Electrical was the only one to recommend GFCI, which added even more to the cost and put that part of their quote about 75% higher than what we ultimately paid for the work."
