New Paradigm Companies has been offering grading and drainage solutions, earthworks services, and construction services in the Fox Valley since 2020. New Paradigm Companies (NPC), was founded by a tenured environmental and building professional with over 15 years experience who had a dream to create a firm that addressed building performance and sustainability needs in the construction and earthworks industry in order to provide sound scientific solutions to improve our homes and land. The idea of "New Paradigm" came about as our desire to change the thought process in the home building industry as well as how we look at and manage our habitats and land. The term "paradigm" is essentially a deep ceded thought process (think of the term, "This is the way we always do that"). That statement essentially encompasses a "paradigm" or a set of values or ethos that we have. We want to change the way we think about our homes and habitats as a more comprehensive and holistic management system instead of our task focused system currently in place... thus "New Paradigm".

"Excellent work and very professional. Chris is very knowledgeable, has excellent equipment to complete a wide variety of excavating, earthwork and landscaping projects."

"I'd give zero stars if I could. Called to get a drip fixed and was told it'd be about a week out, which we decided we could live with. Since this is an active drip, we've been managing by using a bucket and turning the main water valve off when not needing to use water. ON THE DAY OF OUR SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT, they called and said unfortunately another job was running over and they needed to reschedule our service. I figured it'd be the next day or at most 2 days... Nope, they told me it'd be 10 more days before I could be fit in due to their other commercial jobs that they can't change. Had I known I'd be cancelled on day of I could have had a half dozen other plumbers come out. If they can't reliably serve residential customers, then they should be honest or don't schedule them. If you're looking for residential work, DON'T TRUST the scheduling department of this place."

The mission of His Workmanship is to glorify God by displaying the gospel through speedy communication and quick scheduling. We are an online booking agency which facilitates the provision of labor services by matching Christian college providers with homeowners.

"Our family had a terrible experience with His Workmanship. We hired 4 workers for 8 hours for two days (9-5 each day), to weed and mulch bedding in our yard, at a cost of $4420. On our first day, we did a walkthrough to show the weeds and beds. Before the second day of work, we shared pictures of large weeds the team missed on the first day (likely they weren’t identified as weeds), and agreed that we’d be back by 5:00 to walk through and settle with the team. Evidently our e-mailed instructions, photos, and the first day's verbal instructions were not relayed, because the second day's team only finished mulching the one incomplete area left by the first day’s team, leaving behind weeds, unmulched beds next to adjacent bags of mulch. The team tried to contact me at 3:00 (as I made clear, I was at work and not available), then left. My wife returned from work by 3:30 and the team had already left without authorization and without doing any of the weeding in our verbal correspondence, e-mailed correspondence, or e-mailed photos. They left all areas that the prior days team had not begun unweeded and unmulched, along with extra mulch in our driveway right next to the unweeded and unmulched beds that we had asked them to take care of. They charged us for the full eight hours after leaving two hours early, without authorization, and without the walkthrough we agreed to do when we returned from work. All our e-mailed correspondence and Ring screenshots with timestamps are available upon request. Given that our instructions were all in writing and we followed our commitments to be available after our own workdays, we asked to be credited or refunded for the two hours they left without authorization and undone work (communicated both verbally and in writing). His Workmanship confirmed that the team was not supposed to leave without authorization, but declined to credit or refund the time they were paid to work but not working or available to work. I don’t fault workers, who probably never received any direction from the team hired on the first day or my e-mailed instructions. We paid them fully while they were on the clock but gone from the property. We don't want the company's poor communication or loose norms to affect the workers. But I do fault the company for not delivering on what we agreed upon and paid for, failing to honor our written instructions, and then not making it right with us. Given their poor internal communication, inconsistent supervision, and unwillingness to correct their mistakes, I would not recommend them, especially if you need to be away while they are supposed to be on shift. I leave you with a photo of one of those piles of mulch, next to one of the many unweeded, unmulched areas of our yard, that the team left behind mid-shift, after having been instructed to apply it. The second photo is one that I had sent them of weeds to be removed, but they were not despite all the extra time they had before they all left. (I shared the substance of the above with my contact at His Workmanship to confirm the accuracy. I was offered "one free hour" if I bought two hours additional work. We do not want "one free hour." We want the work that we paid for, but could not receive, because the team left before we returned from work and during their shift.)"

FAQs for landscape yard or garden installation projects in Fond Du Lac, WI

Keep your landscape healthy with a steady routine: prune trees and shrubs, mow and edge the lawn, fertilize, aerate, and test the soil every season. Water deeply on a schedule, reseal decks or hardscape when needed, and shore up retaining walls right away. Finish with seasonal chores—mulch beds in spring and winterize tender plants before the first freeze. Following this checklist keeps your yard looking its best all year.

Start by sketching a wish list—shade trees, a patio, maybe a water feature—then set a realistic budget. A landscape pro can walk the yard with you, point out drainage or grading concerns, and turn your ideas into a detailed design. Break the work into phases if needed and lock in a timeline that fits your schedule. With a clear plan and price range, you’ll avoid surprises and keep the project on track.

Landscaping project timelines vary. Planting flowers might wrap up in an afternoon, but building a patio or outdoor kitchen can take several weeks, plus extra time for design approval and material delivery. Add in tasks like grading or utility work, and the calendar stretches further. Map out each phase—design, permits, construction, and cleanup—so you know what to expect and can keep the crew on schedule.

Achieving a refreshed landscape on a limited budget does not demand a huge investment. You can transform your yard with smart, cost-controlled improvements that deliver a striking visual change. A focused budget of under $5,000 supports projects such as installing a simple patio, updating mulching, and adding attractive border plants. This approach not only revitalizes your outdoor space but also optimizes every dollar spent, ensuring an appealing and functional design without overspending.
