"<p>We recommend this contractor.</p> <p><strong>Background.</strong>  This was our first project since the construction of the house in 10 years.  We researched the options of wood and metal buildings.  The cost of each was about the same.  However, the metal building was a quicker and durable option. </p> <p><strong>Contractor Choice.</strong>  We chose the contractor due to the price, the interview with the owner, their website, and a testimonial; we visited a previous job site where they did a similar project.  In general, the owner was more responsive and professional than the other contractors.  The other companies seem less professional and some were just odd.  The local contractor business in our area is competitive but not cheap.  </p> <p><strong>Foundation. </strong> Overall, the survey, land clearing, and laying the A/B aggregate went well.  We chose to hire an additional contractor to clear more land to expedite their work and for other projects.  Foundation framing and cement work went according plan.  During this phase, we were very much involved with their work since we need to integrate our other requirements into the foundation.  We needed to run water and power conduits into the foundation before the pouring of the concrete.  In addition, we prepared a portion of the foundation to support an in ground carlift.  All these actions required us to coordinate closely with the construction team.  Though our special modifications may have been a deviation from their standard work, they were more than willing to work with us to accommodate each special request and let us do the portions of the work we intended to do ourselves.  In addition, we were welcome to ask questions and review the work daily to ensure that there were no misunderstandings or incorrect expectations.   We enjoyed working with both the owner Caleb and his site lead, Calvin.</p> <p><strong>Erection.  </strong>We elected to wait 30 days to begin the erection after the pouring of foundation.  The erection went without any major incident. Caleb's crew performed all of the work for this portion, and did so at remarkable speed.</p> <p><strong>Follow-up.  </strong>We required a follow up visit to fix one of the overhead roll up garage doors that came off its track.  The contractor responded within a reasonable time and completed the work without issue.<br /> Overall, we were very satisfied with the entire experience, from bid through construction to completion. We recommend you consider this vendor for your next construction project.</p> <br />"

"We purchased a house in Glendale and the landscaping was overgown. Fred came by promptly to provide an estimate and it was quite reaosnable considering the amount of work that needed to be done. Fred walked us around the property, told us what each plant was and what care it would need, and even pointed out some problems with the drip irrigtation system. He recommended replacing the small battery-operated sprinkler controller that the previous owner had installed with an outdoor unit hooked up to the service panel that he could adjust during his visits. We noted after the clean-up visit that all the plants were in much better shape and that he had removed all debris. We were so pleased with the service that we signed up Fred for biweekly lawn mowing and monthly landscape maintenace (fertilizer, adjust sprinkllers, trim shrubs, etc.). We highly recommend Fred for your landscape needs."

"We have five very large pecan tress that were in desperate need of trimming and a mulberry tree that needed removing. Bob's Tree customer service was phenomenal. Immediate response after calling & apt scheduled right away for an estimate. Estimate given was a little higher that what I expected, having no clue what tree trimming was worth, but we went ahead with it, knowing Bob's Tree has been in business for years and has a great reputation. We were thrilled with the job they did and the amount of time it took. They left the yard even better than it was before they came, cleaning up every bit of wood that fell from the trimming and a great deal of pecans as well. After watching how hard they worked and the excellent way they cleared the trees and left the property upon completion, I was glad to write the check for them and glad that we were able to support a local business. Bob's Tree may not be the 'cheapest' pricing out there, but you definitely get what you pay for with them - excellence."

"I have never had professional landscaping done before, so I have no real basis of comparison. We initially presented them with our wish list, and they came back with everything we asked for. This was well above any budget we had for this, so they planned at least 2 phases for us. In phase 1 we wanted access from the front yard to the back yard. The initial plan didn't have a path that was sufficiently wide for anything but light equipment (wheel barrow). I noticed something and asked them about changing the plan. They did a great job with the idea and listened to our needs. Phase 1 has been completed and it looks great. More important, it not only gives us access to the back yard, but also effective access to a storage area under the house. We did have a punch list at the end that required a few changes to what was done so that it matched what the plan said. This was done quickly and professionally. We are currently looking at phase 2, which will have to wait for spring. As an additional note, we have visited a variety of greenhouses, and found that Warner has excellent stock. <br />"

"The project looks better than I ever expected!!  The grass looks real and makes such a difference.  Trond was very professional and offered a better price and quality product than many other companies I interviewed.  The grass is soft and very realistic looking and my dog thinks it was put in for her."

"We felt like he was charging too much, and we were going to get less home than we hoped for, but hired him to begin when other builders didn't check out. Then, we talked to some friends who agreed---he was charging too much.  We decided to let him finish the drawings for the two thousand we paid, but then were surprised to learn that all our $2000 had bought us were some junk computer sketches that couldn't be used to actually build. What's more, he didn't seem to care about design and flow---I felt like he's just trying to keep the cash flow coming in to pay for the huge overhead his large construction firm demands. We paid him the last installment for his junk drawings knowing that we wouldn't go with him. <br />      We instead went with another builder in town, who for less money and besides giving us the new living room and laundry room, gave us an extra bedroom and bathroom, with amazing flow between rooms. <br />"
