"We hired Custom Touch to complete our backyard project which included installing pavers and turf. They also planted trees for us and installed irrigation. The work was completely in a detailed and timely manner. We are very happy with the work and have no complaints. Working with Jonathan was great!"

"Milton got back to me quickly, reviewed my yard, gave me a quote same day. I had them clean out all the moss from pavers, rocks, and ground. Remove dead plants and trim everything up. They planted new plants, put down mulch, and did river rock. The guys were efficient, professional, pleasant, and conscientious. Great job. Will have them do the backyard next."

"<p>We recommend this contractor.</p> <p><strong>Background.</strong>  This was our first project since the construction of the house in 10 years.  We researched the options of wood and metal buildings.  The cost of each was about the same.  However, the metal building was a quicker and durable option. </p> <p><strong>Contractor Choice.</strong>  We chose the contractor due to the price, the interview with the owner, their website, and a testimonial; we visited a previous job site where they did a similar project.  In general, the owner was more responsive and professional than the other contractors.  The other companies seem less professional and some were just odd.  The local contractor business in our area is competitive but not cheap.  </p> <p><strong>Foundation. </strong> Overall, the survey, land clearing, and laying the A/B aggregate went well.  We chose to hire an additional contractor to clear more land to expedite their work and for other projects.  Foundation framing and cement work went according plan.  During this phase, we were very much involved with their work since we need to integrate our other requirements into the foundation.  We needed to run water and power conduits into the foundation before the pouring of the concrete.  In addition, we prepared a portion of the foundation to support an in ground carlift.  All these actions required us to coordinate closely with the construction team.  Though our special modifications may have been a deviation from their standard work, they were more than willing to work with us to accommodate each special request and let us do the portions of the work we intended to do ourselves.  In addition, we were welcome to ask questions and review the work daily to ensure that there were no misunderstandings or incorrect expectations.   We enjoyed working with both the owner Caleb and his site lead, Calvin.</p> <p><strong>Erection.  </strong>We elected to wait 30 days to begin the erection after the pouring of foundation.  The erection went without any major incident. Caleb's crew performed all of the work for this portion, and did so at remarkable speed.</p> <p><strong>Follow-up.  </strong>We required a follow up visit to fix one of the overhead roll up garage doors that came off its track.  The contractor responded within a reasonable time and completed the work without issue.<br /> Overall, we were very satisfied with the entire experience, from bid through construction to completion. We recommend you consider this vendor for your next construction project.</p> <br />"

"hey also had a shop to purchase the tile needed for the job so we picked out the tile and the grouting.  It was a one stop pretty much because they had a store to pick out the tiling we wanted done and then they did the work. Looks real good in the shower. They came and did the tiling  and it was done quickly and politely. They were on time, did not take any longer than proposed. No problems at all. It was the same price as another tiler we looked into, but this company was recommended by Water and Drain Works, who'd done our plumbing. They regularly do business with them."

"I did contact them via Angie's List. The gentleman finally came out about a month or so later after I found them and initially contacted them over Angie's List, I guess my request for a consult got lost. He was very professional. They sent someone out to do a price quote and the price they quoted me was basically $450 for a month or for a year to keep the lawn maintained and stuff like that. Keep the weeds controlled, the whole bit. I know the amount discussed was $450 but I can't remember if that was monthly, quarterly, semiannually, or annually. The estimate was free, I paid nothing for the estimate, they did not charge for the estimate. The gentleman came out and he asked me what I wanted specifically what my landscaping needs were. I said this is what I need basically someone to do lawn maintenance and we discussed back and fourth what they provided, what they didn't do or what additional services they could provide if necessary or I requested them That was discussed I was given a written estimate that was good for I think 3 months at the time but I Can't remember if the quote given to me at that price was as I said, for a month, or quarterly. I'm living on like a quarter of an acre lot. They were the only one that was local to me that I contacted. The price based on the fact that they don't have any competitors around here locally I would have to say B. Based on the estimate I would say a solid B for quality without any competition I haven't much experiencer to compare them to anybody else."

"They showed up on time and as expected. As I am the executor of the estate I went to look at the results about 5 days after original start date. Weeds were not completely gone and fascia board was not painted as we agreed. When asked about it the owner told me that they only had a small amount of time as he worked two jobs and had to work at the other jobs as well. They finished the work the next day and it was completed as promised and the job was done well. He asked for additional work and gave me a bid on the work which I though was very high so I declined the work, which was additional carpentry to put on a new front porch as it is not in good shape for selling the property. I did find a carpenter to complete the work at a much more reasonable price.  <br />  The work they did was satisfactory but not outstanding, and for the money paid I thought I would get a better job done. I had to go within 3 weeks to mow down the grass that had sprung up in it's place myself. It took my about 2 hours to do the whole job myself and it just cost me my time. <br />"

"I used TPL to install pavers on a large back patio over the summer. I loved the job they did from start to finish. It was a priority for me to get it done quickly and they finished a two-day job in one day by bringing an extra crew. As promised, Eddie was there at the start of the day to make sure everything was great and back at the end. In terms of price, I had bid the job with a number of other companies and the price from TPL was in the middle of the bids. Given the quality and professionalism, I feel I got a very good deal. I wait on home repair jobs for about 6 months before I review to make sure that the job holds up as well as it seemed to look on install; I am as pleased with the job today as when they did it this summer. It really transformed my backyard and I am so glad I took Eddie's design suggestions. I very highly recommend them."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Fort Huachuca, AZ

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
