"All I can say is he seemed nice and he showed up to give an estimate right away but, I do not like being lied to, especially when doing business. The work could not be done because although I requested on ANGI in the comments, for company or worker with Nassau licensed numbers only and I asked Muhammad as well upon arrival al and he assured me saying "YES" its Nassau. When I go to the town to present the companies who will be all working on the project, I was informed that the electrical company is Not a Nassau number. I called and he told me his brother put the NYC # and he will send me the proper number later that day. Its been 2 days now and he didnt answer when I called. Not professional. I will not hire anyone without seeing the proper documents and the town verifying from now on. I do not think I should keep calling you when Im the client. "

"They worked as a subcontractor for a commercial project I had with a county water station. Marty is very knowledgeable, on time, cooperative with other trades, neat. His crew is also the same. Great guy, I would hire him again."

"Joe and his team of electricians led by Paul were amazing to work with! Very professional, on-time, and fair pricing estimates for electrical work I needed in my condo, including moving the position of a ceiling light and setting up two new sconces, both of which required patching up the drywall afterwards and they made it look seamless. Joe really values quality work and made sure to check in throughout the job and afterwards to make sure I was satisfied, answering any questions I had. They offer a ton of handyman services and I will be booking them for future tv mounting needs as well."

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Franklin Square, NY

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
