"It went well. The power washing and repairs on the outside were excellently done. The interior rooms were nicely painted. The only negative - and a small one at that - was that the job got handed off to several different people and so I had to show each new person where to do the touch up work and remind about things that had been agreed upon with the previous person. The rates were a wee bit high - but they were efficient and I did initially have a bigger job and changed some things midstream. I think it all came out in the wash."

However, after the initial estimate was made and a down payment was made, I had difficulty contacting the scheduler to schedule the repair. Several calls went unreturned over a two week period. Ultimately I contacted the manager who got the scheduler to contact me and schedule the repair."

"So like a number of other house, we had sinking front concrete steps. Our sizable front stairs had sunk about 6 inches and pull the attached walk with it. It got to the point we just had to have them replaced. I checked out various options for having them mud-jacked, but my concern was that that would not really fix the issue for the long term and they would just end up sinking again. After getting several bids we went with Tavis at Quality Concrete and Masonry. They weren't the cheapest bid but seemed the most trustworthy and had the best plan to make sure the problem did not re-occur. Tavis started on a Tuesday and was essentially work complete by Saturday. His work was very high quality. Because of the site, amount of concrete, etc. he used 1.5" rebar instead of the standard 0.5" rebar to tie the steps to the house. ( I've never even seen 1.5" rebar before.) Site was left clean each day and the final product exceeded our expectations."

"Had a great experience with Chris Kuper at Basement Detective! My basement flooded from non-stop storms and I needed a sump pump installed along with complete renovation of my basement. They were very competitive in pricing and outstanding in results. "It may sound like a simple job, but it wasn't. I wanted to replace the floor without removing the columns and the attached railings that support the roof above. P J methodically moved from column to column, raising each and replacing the floor beneath as they progressed the length of the porch. All of the old flooring was removed, including all of the nails and packaging materials. And....it was done on time, the way he always works! There's a reason I keep going back to P J. He knows his business. He's a delight to work with. And, above all, his work is the best. Go elsewhere at your own peril."
