" • The coupler on the trailer was bent. • The trailer itself was in good condition. • The owner called Alex Ortega for assistance. • Alex reviewed the situation and I purchased a new coupler from Harbor Freight. • Alex spent six hours welding the new coupler onto the trailer. • The job was done very well, and the owner was very pleased. • The owner recommends Alex Ortega for any welding jobs. • The owner uses the trailer to transport their trike and move items from stores. • The owner notes that paying for delivery from stores can add up, making a trailer a worthwhile investment. "Just needed another hinge on the gate for the back part of the yard, it fell apart and needed to be fixed/replaced and a few other spots in the gate attended to as they were looking rough. Quoted me for the gate hinge and spot fixes, everything was reasonable and work was completed promptly and as promised. Would absolutely hire again for small jobs like this, did not have to deal with any upselling or promises that weren't kept. (Hate when service providers like contractors say they can fix something just because they want a higher paying job than whats originally requested, then it falls through or looks shoddy, after its "fixed") Alex was quick to assure me what he could and could not accomplish within his experience/skillsets and even referred a contractor who would be able to assist with some landscaping issues I brought up when we were discussing some of the side projects I have going on the property. I have already recommended him to a neighbor who was looking for someone to weld some handrails for a mother in law suite they are finishing up. Great experience, will recommend and hire again if I need anything fixed."

"Coby arranged the initial appointment in response to my e-mail describing the job.  His partner Joe visited the next afternoon to review the job.  I received an estimate the next day.    I collected 3 other estimates.   The ironwork was the same price over the 4 estimates but only two contractors were able to include the painting and general construction work needed for the dog doorway to complete my project.   The other fence contractor who would sub out the paintwork did not have licensing or bonding which tipped the scales to J&R for me.   J&R negotiated a price with me that helped me make the decision on a Thursday and Coby picked up a deposit on Friday.  On the following Monday morning Joe showed up with a helper to do the install and make the gate repair.   And the helper started the prepping for the paintwork.  Everything was done by Wednesday morning.   Painting the existing iron fencing was a tedious job for just one person, and the fence needed a lot of pre-sanding.  The single coat primer+paint job isn't exactly even or smooth, and it wasn't possible to reach the badly rusted bottom edge in many places, but I'm satisfied.    My only criticism is that no one phoned ahead to make the appointment for the Monday install.  Fortunately someone was working from home that day but the intrusion was unexpected and a bit of an annoyance.   Coby and Joe were eager to please, seemed very knowledgable and have sufficient experience and resources to provide some services in addition to just welding and ironwork which saved me having to work with several contractors or handymen at the same time.      <br />"

"Anthony Hernandez completed a project for me and I am very satisfied. My project was a chimney cap that was blown of the top of a chimney in a wind storm on a rental property. I had 4 pieces of metal fabricated, but I needed someone to weld them together. Anthony responded to my request for a quote almost immediately. I brought the 4 pieces to him and he did a very good job of welding them together and then he delivered the chimney cap to me. I think that Anthony is a hard worker and I would highly recommend him for your welding projects."

"It was a small job, yes, but Mike was great!  He was very helpful and took the time to think the repair through.  Initially, we thought it would be a quick & small welding job, but it became a bigger problem when we discovered there was more to it.  Mike took the time to problem solve the issue and he fixed my lamp on the spot!  He didn't charge more than he had quoted initially.   Thanks Mike! <br />"

"Our family interviewed a couple of contractors to help us remodel our guesthouse. From the start, Guy came with a professional and exciting energy that made us feel comfortable with going with Builderzz. Guy was upfront about what he thought was possible/safe and you knew he was paying attention because he never missed a detail! Although Builderzz was not the lowest quote, we appreciated the reasonable, itemized and thorough estimate! For this particular project, we had our guesthouse's kitchen, flooring, and bathroom redone. The remodel looks immaculate! The best part about working with Guy and Builderzz Remodeling was their dedication to quality and speed (it was not one or the other). I've worked with other contractors and they were NEVER on schedule. I was shocked at how quickly they moved through the house. However, I also really appreciated Guy's dedication to quality. Our piping was completely outdated and Guy automatically updated the piping because his team didn't feel comfortable with the old piping (I LOVE THAT!) On top of that, Guy was great about communicating timelines, expectations, and questions with me. I'm usually at work during business hours so Guy was great through e-mail and text which I really needed to complete this project. With any project there can always be hiccups. Guy and team never try to deflect blame or make excuses. I think this is extremely important and speaks volumes to their character. Guy always tries to make all things right. This is why I will be working with them again in the future! Do not hesitate to give them a call!"
