"The service provided by Shawn of Eason electric was exceptional. He worked hard to solve 2 challenging projects at my home. I appreciated that he took the time to explain what he was going to do in detail and that he always arrived when he said he would. My ceiling fan and new outdoor receptacles are wonderful upgrades! I would not hesitate to hire Shawn again!"

"They were prompt & professional and scheduled me in for a 2 day job at my convenience. Quality of work is excellent. They were able to install a ceiling fan and recessed lighting in a room with no basement or attic with no additional drywall holes needed to run the wires."

"Philip helped us change a cabinet board under the sink which was damaged by a water leak. He has a lot of knowledge and experience. The price is reasonable. We plan to hire him for our house maintenance and remodeling job in the future."

"Samuel was responsive, punctual and provided great service. My project involved installing a dishwasher and garbage disposal from scratch which meant removing an exisiting cabinet, installing new electric and plumbing lines along with a switch for the disposal. Samuel got all of the work done in 3 hours and the finished product looks great."

"Had used their tech Fred twice before with no problems. They were very responsive but other tech scheduled had urgent dental work. Rescheduled three more weeks out with other tech. Had headphones in and did not hear knock or call. Rescheduled and I mistook date and was in Maine when they arrived. Since I was outside their usual area I felt it better to cancel project since I only had six months lease. They stated would refund, and I will appreciate since I am a senior in fixed income."

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Gap, PA

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
