"Robert Helms owner of R&R responded promptly to phonecall & was able to arrange a date within 1 week to meet with me to discuss roof tile concerns & provide thorough inspection. Robert is consummate professional - paying close attention to details, concerns & hands on examination of roof. I was impressed w/ his questions re. History of roof repairs & past issues taking in whole picture of status of roof. As long time home owners of older homes we realize the value of maintenance for prevention & repairs as needed for long term stability of a home as well as lowering risk for problems later on . That said - there have been many occasions where a contractor cut corners or didn't relate essential info only to have problems down the road . Most appreciative Robert noted we had no drip edges on garage ( no wonder we had recent wood damage / rot after last roofers work) and suggested installment. He also problem solved how our painters could get up to 3 rd level dormer assuring their & the roof tile safety. Robert coordinated timing for painter wallboard & repairs right away & he & his 2 workers had all work completed exactly as scheduled . "Scott, the owner, answered my request promptly for a quote and evaluation.  He was quick, efficient, and fair.  I chose him over other companies because of his approach to me and because he answered all my questions.  There were no surprises.  The day of the work -- and it took but one day even on a large, high-pitched roof-- his crew arrived promptly.  They did all they could to protect my plants (and I have lots of them).  The crew worked all day in to early evening to complete all the work.  Before they left they meticulously cleaned up every scrap from all sides of the house.  They cleaned all the gutters.  I had selected an upgraded shingle.  The finished work is beautiful.  There was a minor problem with a long section of gutter.  I called Old Fort and Scott himself came out to look at the issue.  He told me a well-known gutter company would be contacting me immediately to replace the whole section. No questions or quibbling.  It was replaced within 48 hours.  I even got a follow-up from Old Fort asking me if I were completely satisfied with the gutter replacement. I am so pleased with Scott, Alex his assistant, and the crew that I have sung their praises.  I manage to bring up my new roof in all kinds of conversations.  I can't recommend Old Fort Roofing enough."

"My wife and I want to THANK everyone at Clemens Home Solutions for doing a FABULOUS job on our new roof, gutters and fascia/soffits. Josh, the estimator, was incredible and was the only estimator (out of 3) that found significant structural issues in the roof support structure. If he hadn’t had a keen eye for detail, we would have had severe issues either now, or in the not too distant future. Nathan and Abel’s crew was amazing and did an awesome job with the roof tear down and installation. They spent a considerable amount of time cleaning up afterwards and ensuring there was almost no debris left behind. Mike and Danny's crew did a great job on the fascia and soffits. Ivan and Sam followed up with the gorgeous black gutters. We can’t say enough about Macee in Customer Care - who is the reason we heard about Clemens - she was on top of things start to finish. Clemens’ Crew stayed in touch throughout the process and kept us informed of materials ordered, schedule changes due to inclement weather and projected completion timeline. I had one minor issue and that was with an added dryer vent. Nathan was out the next business day and fixed it, no questions asked. Across the board, everyone at CLEMENS was laser-focused on CUTOMER CARE - a valuable commodity, often lacking, in this day and age. "We researched many roofing products & several local roofing companies before deciding upon Cornett. Their HD powdered-coated metal shakes were our first choice for looks & also offered best quality of materials & warranty, even their "standard" 5V was a better quality than what others were selling. It took about 2 wks to schedule the quote apparently due to the amount of roof damage from recent local storms. Our project was started in a timely manner about 2 wks after signing the contract & took 3 days to complete all 3 buildings. The office & crew were very polite. The crew kept the jobsite tidy & worked long days. There were some hiccups along the way & we feel that inter-departmental communication could be improved upon. Most of the crew was ESL so perhaps there was a language barrier involved, too. In addition, there was an incident of what seemed like poor planning based on the weather forecast while finishing other parts of the roof rather than the part on the house that was still open requiring tarps overnight. All that being said, once our concerns were relayed to the proper person, the issues were addressed & resolved in a very timely manner. A couple of issues also popped up soon after the job was completed & we were pleasantly surprised that those were also promptly resolved. The only issue that we are still not quite sure of is if the crew was actually Cornett employees or subbed. We specifically asked if they were subs during the quote & we also asked the spokesman for the crew & were told they "work for Cornett". What is strange is that there was a miscommunication or misunderstanding about removing gutters for the roof installation & the crew asked if they were going to replace the gutters, too. However, at the time of the quote, we were told that there wasn't room to negotiate the gutter quote because that was subbed out. Based on that info, a reasonable conclusion is that if the same crew that installed the roof was also going to install gutters then they would appear to be subs. We suspect that the "crew leader" is an employee of Cornett so technically that is why we were told they do not use subs. As it turned out, even if they were subs, they did a good job, which was our concern about using subs in the first place, but we would have liked more transparency in the details. We absolutely love the look of our new roofs, esp the shakes, & have had several compliments on our "new house". Most importantly, we have had several rainstorms over the last month & there has been no sign of leaks & we can expect no shingle damage for the next 50 yrs. We highly recommend Cornett. <br> <br>"
