"We had JC Masonry replace our fireplace. Cathi was great at responding promply. Joey was meticulous about his work, and did a great job! Working with them was like working with family. I wish I could attach pictures, because the end result was unbelieveable! I would definitely recommend them! In fact, I plan on using them again this summer to replace several retaining walls. Just good people!"

"From demolition of the existing master bath to punch list completion, the project went very smoothly, on-time and on-budget. Our goals were to reflect the 1920s character of the rest of the house and to integrate some features (walk-in shower and comfort height toilet) that would help us age in place. Mark's design expertise was appreciated on both counts. Mark and his crew, Dritan & Edward, were consistently professional, good communicators, great on follow-through and eager to satisfy our needs. I'm a stickler for details and Mark, Dritan & Edward were quite responsive to my needs but also detail-oriented themselves. Some materials (e.g. tile) were purchased as part of our contract and other materials (plumbing fixtures, vanity and countertop) were purchased by us so the approximate cost of service does not reflect full cost of the job which was about $27,000. We feel it the total cost was good value for the money and quite competitive in the marketplace."

"David Spence did it again!! We had 2 bathrooms that needed to be gutted and one a conversion from tub to shower only. Not only did David Spence come in at a fair price, everything was done professionally and in a timely manner. Tile for second bath was running behind so instead of having us wait for it to come in, he gave us a choice to go pick out tile from Floor and Decor, which we did and the bathroom looks beautiful. Great customer service! We love that Ched and Tristan took time to answer any concerns we had along the way and they kept us up to date on the daily work. Both of our bathrooms are totally unrecognizable from where we started. You can’t go wrong hiring DAVID SPENCE INC. for your remodeling needs. We would definitely recommend him and his team."

"First the design-The design process was just excellent, Mick took us through the process with patience and skill, listening to our wants, the confines of our budget while steering the design with his expertise. The build process-Really a mixed bag here primarily due to communication that at times was poor, from crews showing up unannounced at 6:30 in the morning to late or not showing up at all. Probably the low point was when the crew from Pebble Pros urinated on the side of our house. They may need to consider removing the "Pros" from their name as this was very unprofessional. The build was completed on schedule with the only issue being a leak due to one of Freestyles employees not installing the seal on the pool light cord. This could have been addressed better by the company as it cost us, the homeowner's money to keep filling the pool as well as a lot of frustration but it seemed to be made light of as one of those things that just happens. Freestyle uses quite a bit of subcontract work in their build process which can be of concern but we would have to say the subs are held to a high standard with their work, other than the urinating bit which was simply ridiculous...Overall the quality of materials and workmanship with Freestyle was very good and along with the design we have a beautiful pool which we have been enjoying all summer. We would choose this company again but hopefully not for a very long time as we're in no hurry to go through something like this again!"

"My experience with Perkins Concrete, from the initial estimate to the final inspection, was very positive. I received 4 estimates to replace the cracked, pitted, sunken concrete floor in my 97-year-old detached garage. Warren Perkins was the only contractor who addressed protecting the building's foundation. Both Warren and his crew were very professional. They arrived on time, and everything went as scheduled. My garage was not a big job, only 400 square feet, yet Warren communicated throughout the process. There were no surprises. As I hoped, the floor sloped very slightly downward to the outside. Also, as requested, the final floor was very smooth and ready for polishing/sealing. See before and after pics for comparison. They were very neat and cleaned up after themselves. Their workmanship and attention to detail are very impressive. I highly recommend Perkins Concrete and would hire them again."

"Would always recommend Arbor Care. Daniel was spectacular for both expertly explaining our options in removing the sissoo tree plaguing our backyard and helping us out a ton when we ran into issues along the way. Jose and the crew were also extremely professional and skilled at taking it down, along with finishing the rest of the yardwork."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Gibsonton, FL

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
