"The folks at NextGen were absolutely amazing to work with, and made the process of completing the first major project on my home a snap! Brett, Brian, Mike and Haleigh went above and beyond during the whole process of getting a new roof installed after some storm damage revealed my roof was an old, beat-up mess that needed replacing anyway."

"We found Sun Viking on Angie’s List as a highly recommended company. They were hired to edge and border our landscaping, create two large planter boxes, redo our front walkway and create a side landscaped area with tress. All I have to say is phenomenal job. Not only was everything completed beyond my expectations but Derek, the owner, and David were highly professional and courteous. They were able to save the original stones from the walkway and reuse them, keeping the old charm to our house. David even used the left-over stones to fill in a hole my dog did and made him a little patio. I don’t know about the other companies, because they never called me back, but I think Sun Viking is the best. We are thinking of a backyard patio in the future and I will no doubt hire them to complete. I am told that is there specialty. Great work and thanks."

"My wife and I have dealt with quite a few different landscapers over the years, and while most are have been competent, their bench strength is not always deep. Once you get past the estimator/owner, the skills of the rest of the team drops off considerably. We have found that, at the end of the day, successful projects and happy customers are the result of having a strong team end-to-end. Our latest project involved removal of some of our existing landscape plants, and replacing them with more appealing plants, as well as the addition of some landscape lighting, and mulching. We called Pierce L. Shallis Landscaping (found via Angies list) and scheduled an appointment. When we first met with Pierce L. Shallis to discuss our project, we were very impressed with him. He was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. As things progressed, we became acquainted with the rest of the Shallis team: Cody was very good to work with in reviewing and mangaging the lighting package as well as the overall project execution. Heather and Barbie provided excellent and courteous front office support, communications and coordination. Both Pierce and Cody were present on the day the project was completed and were able to quickly answer any questions or concerns The install team was friendly, courteous, hard working, and meticulous. In short, Pierce and his team are great to deal with, across the board and have competitive pricing. We highly recommend Pierce L Shallis Landscaping for all of your landscaping needs."

"Response to my RFP for prompt. They explained in detail what would be done, and how; this detail sold the job, and how they would work around problems we expected from large tree roots. Installation was on time and within our budget. Work crew was friendly, attentive and addressed all issues we presented; my wife is an artist and perfectionist. At end of job they assured us they would address any future quality problems. Mostly, we love our new patio and value added to our home."

"My husband and I wanted to have our old chain linked fence replaced with a 6ft. Vinyl privacy fence. I always believe you should do some research to find the best possible company for the job . After getting estimates from multiple contractors, we chose AG Construction. We're so happy that we did ! We met with Alex and discussed in detail everything that needed to be done. ( removing & disposing of the old chain link fence, old wooden posts, overgrown shrubs, and left over cinder & patio blocks ) The crew began working in the morning and we're done with the installation ( 260 ft. of vinyl fencing ) & cleanup by late afternoon. They took care of everything ! They were professional and worked very efficiently. We are extremely satisfied with the work they did. I give AG Construction a "10" for the quality of work and the price. Don't hesitate to call AG Construction for your next project"

"It went extremely well. Ray was a professional throughout. He was very careful when dealing with the township to make sure all the paperwork and inspections were lined up properly. It took two days to complete. Ray, Bill, and Matt worked very hard and the end product seems to be perfect. I am very happy with Culligan Concrete & Masonry and hope to use them again in the near future."

"The team from StoneCraft LLC did an incredible job restoring our 40 foot tall chimney, pouring a new concrete crown and installing stone veneer and new flashing. The team was professional and quick, going from scaffolding to completion and cleanup in two weeks. The cleanup was so thorough that other than the gorgeous new chimney, you would never even know they had been there. Very, very impressed with the professionalism, workmanship, and communication throughout the process."

"The crew arrived at 8:00 am on a Monday as promised.  A crew of at least 6 were on hand.  Jack-hammering the concrete basement floor around the entire perimeter of our basement started immediately.  The jack-hammering lasted about 5 or 6 hours one day 1, but we had made prior arrangements to have our pets removed and we were mostly not home during  that part of the process.  They excavated an approximate 1 ft wide trench around the entire perimeter of the basement.  They also dug a second sump pump pit at an opposite corner to the existing sump pump.  The excavated pit sloped toward both sump pump pits.  There was some minor structural demolition of some paneling and interior walls plus the removal of a built in set of wooden shelves that was necessary to dig and install the french drain.  They did this and removed all the demolition debris from the premises.  A crushed stone base was laid down and a 3" perforated drain pipe was installed in the trench.  The excavation was back-filled with more crushed stone. An aluminum drip edge was placed about 1/2" from the walls and when the floor was re-cemented, it was cemented up to the drip edge.  The basement walls were washed with bleach to remove existing mold, all cracks were cemented or calked and then the walls were painted with 2 coats of white Dry-Lock paint.  2 new submersible sump pumps were installed.  New PVC pump outlet piping with check valves were installed.  The Basement window wells were cleaned out and crushed stone was placed in all window wells.  The floors were swept and washed down.  The basement was cleaner after they were done then when they started.  The work was completed by 12:00 pm on Wednesday. <br /> Now here's the interesting part.  A torrential rainstorm started on Wednesday morning.  We received approximately 3-4 inches of rain during Wednesday and Thursday.  Just as they finished the job and powered up the sump pumps, the water level in the sumps was starting to rise to the top.  The pumps ran the entire night, 21 seconds on, 21 seconds off.  By morning  the off time had increased to about 90 seconds.  By the end of Friday, the pumps were off entirely.  Our basement was completely dry.  We noticed several of our neighbors having their basements pumped out over that weekend.  One neighbor lost everything in  their basement.  That's how bad this freak storm was, but we were in good shape.  Perfect timing for a severe test of Salvo's work."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Glassboro, NJ

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
