"They did an excellent job at removing my tree. They even cut a few extra dead branches from a couple other trees. That was a nice surprise. They cleaned up the area so nicely. Can’t even tell a tree was cut down today. Will definitely hire them again as I have a ton of trees so thankful to them."

"We have had Mike complete several jobs over the years. He gets the job done at a fair price and quick timeframe. We feel comfortable having Mike complete work because of his vast amount of experience. Whether the job is big or small, Mike is flexible on how we’d like the job to be completed, offering several services such as complete removals, simple tree drops or stump grinding. Mike is our go-to guy with anything tree related."

"Very professional and efficient. We had a dead tree that needed removed and no one else would do it due to close proximity to power lines and being in a dense neighborhood. He removed the tree cleanly and didn’t charge me an arm and a leg to do it. We would definitely use him again!"

"It went well. They were just a little late getting to us, but they had a good reason and called beforehand to let us know. They worked quickly but were still careful not to damage anything. The owner is a young man but very responsible and hard working. Would def hire again."

"Mr. William Barker was very polite and professional in our discussion about the removal of my tree. He was prompt in returning my call and came to my home to inspect and remove the tree, just as he said. He and his crew did a great job in their clean up and has offered other services. I would recommend him and will re-hire him this summer for additional tree work."

FAQs for tree stump removal projects in Glencoe, KY

Always transport chainsaws with the engine off and chain brake engaged. Use the protective bar cover provided by the rental company to prevent accidental contact with the cutting chain. Position the chainsaw securely in your vehicle to prevent movement during transit, ideally in a truck bed or trunk rather than the passenger compartment.

For gas models, ensure the fuel cap is tight and position the saw to minimize potential leakage. Keep the chainsaw away from passengers and other items that could be damaged.

Proper safety equipment is essential when operating any chainsaw. At minimum, you should have eye protection (safety glasses or a face shield), hearing protection (earplugs or earmuffs), cut-resistant gloves, chainsaw chaps or pants, and sturdy boots with good traction.

Many rental facilities offer basic safety kits alongside chainsaw rentals. If you'll be using chainsaws regularly, investing in quality personal safety gear is advisable. Never operate a chainsaw without appropriate protective equipment, regardless of the job size.

While rental companies will rent chainsaws to beginners, inexperience significantly increases safety risks. If you've never used a chainsaw before, request a demonstration from the rental staff and thoroughly review the operator's manual before starting. Begin with smaller, more manageable cutting tasks to build comfort with the tool's operation.

For significant cutting jobs, consider either taking a chainsaw safety course first or hiring professionals instead. The learning curve for safe chainsaw operation is steep, and caution is paramount.

If mechanical problems develop during your rental, immediately cease operation and contact the rental company. Most reputable rental businesses will either provide a replacement chainsaw or repair the equipment if the breakdown resulted from normal use rather than misuse. Document the issue with photographs when possible and maintain records of when you reported the problem.

Having your rental agreement readily available when you call will expedite the resolution process. The rental company should adjust your rental period to account for any downtime.
