"I noticed a fishy smell coming from my outlet in bedroom. The outlet was hot to the touch. I put a claim in on America Home Shield. I was assigned GJC Electric. I called and spoke to Bree. She called Greg and hole said he would be out the next day in the morning. Greg came out at the time I was advised. He diagnosed the problem as the outlet was overheating and the wires were burned. He explained why I was smelling a fishy smell. He told My husband and I do not use space heaters on the same circuit that could be overheating the outlets. "This is the second time we used Pop's electric. The first time we had an attic fan installed with no issues. Then we had a bathroom fan replaced. The bathroom ceiling leaked after the first heavy rain. I spoke to Kim at Pop's and she sent Kevin and Chris back the next day after the storm. They were very apologetic and spent several hours working to correct the issue. The issue was resolved but the ceiling was stained. The owner Bob came back to repaint the ceiling . Bob , Kevin and Chris explained that this was the first time they had an issue like this with a bathroom fan replacement. Things do happen and no permanent damage was done. The staff at Pop's stood by their work and quickly resolved the problem. We plan to use Pop's for future electric work and would certainly recommend them."

"The Smart Home features they installed, such as thermostat and door locks, etc. do not always work. For example, the Honeywell thermostat can no longer be operated from our phones and is difficult to install. Remote door locks are also unpredictable."
