"Our driveway is gorgeous! It exceeded our expectations. The Madewell Concrete crew did a top-notch, professional job from start to finish. Amazingly our driveway was completely replaced in two days! Gage, our Sales Manager, came to our house to discuss options we were considering. He was very knowledgeable and helpful as we reached a decision. He measured our driveway and sent us a quote. Once we accepted the quote, we were put on the schedule. Reid, our Project Manager, and his crew were fantastic! Reid’s experience was valuable. He was always willing to answer questions and explain the process to us. The crew worked non-stop throughout the time they were here. On the day work was scheduled to start, rain was in the forecast. We were notified that the job would need to be postponed. We appreciated that it would not be done in less-than-ideal conditions. We were rescheduled for the following week and had great weather. The first day was demolition. A Bobcat with jackhammer attachment was used to break up the concrete into big chunks. The chunks were then deposited into one of several heavy-duty dumpsters and hauled away to be recycled. Large roots that had caused the concrete to break up were removed. The ground was graded, and forms were set in place to be ready for the new concrete. The second day was installation. The crew and the first of several concrete trucks arrived early. As the concrete was poured some of the crew worked on spreading it out. Others followed behind to smooth and brush it to give it a non-slip surface. Control joints, basically grooves, were added to help control any future cracking in the concrete. The process was fascinating to watch. We are extremely pleased with our new driveway, and it was a pleasure having the entire crew here. We highly recommend them."

They made my patio even better than I thought they could. . They were on time, very respectful , very clean and honestly just a pleasure to have. "Lou Sullivan was an absolute pleasure to work with. He showed up on time to do the estimate, walked me through the stamping/colorization process, and gathered required info from me to help him ascertain how to achieve the finished look I desired (including layout, colors, and expansion joint locations). Once done he provided me with an estimate as well as his availability. At no point did I feel pressured, and Lou's professionalism made it feel like I was working with a partner who was genuinely invested in helping me achieve my objective. After agreeing on both a price and timing, Lou returned with his crew to do the work, as scheduled. Again he was punctual, and his crew did a fantastic job of getting the pour down, spread, stamped, colored, and cut (expansion joints) in a timely fashion. A week later (to allow curing) Lou returned to seal the finished product. I'm writing this review more than 18 months after completion of the project -- and waited this long to see how the finished product held up. When clean (as opposed to covered in pollen), my patio looks as good as it did the day after it was sealed. I'm very pleased with the result and would/will engage Carolina Decorative Concrete again should I have a need for more work of this type. Lou is a true professional and a master at his craft. Important: It should be noted that I already had a 4" base of level, tamped crush & run in place for the patio … as well forms in place to hold the concrete pour. Thus, the pricing I received was strictly for the decorative concrete work, as all required prep work had already been performed prior to engaging Lou. Those in need of prep work should factor its cost in, of course."

"In the end it all turned out better than expected. Had a little trouble with the concrete company but Lewis and son would not settle for half a**. Excuse my language. They went above and beyond to make sure it was done right. I would recommend them 10 times over. Wish I could included photos of the job well done. I got a 12×12 slab to extend my existing slab. Great Job!!!!"
