Small jobs welcome

"Robbie did a thorough job of excavating the patio area, laying down gravel and a barrier. I was away the week he started; my neighbor reported he was out there for many hours completing that part of the work. He offered his opinion on enlarging the raised beds surrounded by the patio, advice that resulted in a more esthetically pleasing result, for a very reasonable fee. The finished product is very attractive and has really improved the look of the back yard."

"First, we hired them to give us a plan; but they fit into our budget, so did the job for us as well. It wasn't a big job for them, but it was a major for us. It was only a 3-day job for them; but normally, they do 3-4 months job. They fit us in between a couple of jobs. They got us in very quickly. It was so fast. We can't say enough about these guys. These guys were so professional. Whenever we went out to the lawn, they would explain us what they were doing and they would give us the timeline. We never felt that we were bothering them if we were out there. They worked meticulously. They were so well trained. These guys were absolutely craftsmen. Every single person who came out to the property was polite and was professional. They did an amazing job."

"Zeb Snow's company, Snowscapes, has done extensive work on our home in Colchester, VT. He and his team did an amazing job completely remodeling our kitchen and bathroom. The house was truly transformed after Zeb and his team were done. Zeb provided an accurate quote and exact timeframe for the project which was so helpful! This was our first home renovation project so we appreciated Zeb's insight and professional expertise. When we put our home on the market a couple years later, it quickly sold for our desired price largely due to the high quality remodel which was commented upon by real estate agents and the home buyer. In addition to the remodeling jobs, Zeb also helped us with substantial structural fixes. He is our go-to contractor!"

"Bill Hayes showed up on time, preformed the work doing a super professional job and stuck to the quote even though the job took a little longer. He left the site clean and in a better condition than when he arrived. Bill Hayes was very experienced and efficiently and expertly operated his equipment in our tight back yard. We recommend him and would hire him back again. He is very talented and good at what he does, we were very lucky we hired him because he knew how to stabilize the bank. We had been looking for someone that knew how to do this but we're not convinced that just a retaining wall would work. Now our house is protected, our bank is stabilized with large boulders, our bank can now become be a beautiful rock garden this summer with plantings in between the puzzled together rocks. Thank you Bill!"

"Luke and Jesse did a great job estimating and executing this work. They surveyed the yard, estimated the amount of soil and seed required and presented me with an accurate and detailed quote. My wife and I then walked through the quote with them and finalized the details. Their pricing was excellent (I checked with two other landscapers), and the work was completed within 3 weeks of the estimate. It was necessary to remove a 20 ft spruce tree and redo a footing on our existing deck to accommodate their work, and this was also done quickly and efficiently.
All of the final work was accomplished while my wife and I were away on vacation. It was done just as the quote had stated, and for the price agreed upon.
I would not hesitate to use After Hours Landscaping at any time for my property."

"We've used them a few times. We deal with Lance Fournier. We paid them a lot and it worked very well. We have also used them for the lawn and landscaping. We were very happy with them. As I recall they honored the estimate even though it came in over. They were courteous and very professional. They provide a variety of services. They are local. It is a one guy company instead of a franchise so he is very vested. They were not cheap."

"My husband has great things to say about them as he handled all of that. We really wanted to go with a local company and the quality is much better than going with any of the larger companies although there was a price difference. The delivery was amazing. The people were amazing and we were pretty satisfied. We had a lot of help from the delivery man making sure everything was unloaded properly and he left extra pieces of fencing in case upon opening those if anything had been damaged. Their price was a little high, but we think it was fair for the quality of the product. We would recommend them."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Grand Isle, VT

To calculate your paver needs:

 • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

 • Determine how many square feet you need.

 • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

 • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

 • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

 • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

 • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
