"These guys came in and did the job right! They were very thorough and explaining the process of what they were about to do and gave recommendations that fit what we needed to have done. They took their time they planned it out and put everything back in place very beautifully. The price of the job was just right 14 recessed lights installed into pendant lights and two chandeliers. I would recommend these guys and I definitely would bring them back for future work ?? Thank you blessed Electric for making our house beautiful with you work!"

"Johnnie and Kyle were lifesavers, literally! Our heater kept tripping the breaker and when my husband flipped the switch back on, sparks flew. Our home is new to us, but was built in the 70s, we were unaware of how bad the electrical wiring was, the Inspector, for some reason, didn't catch it when we bought the house. There was an older breaker box inside my husband's closet also, the wiring inside was a jumbled mess and had several burned areas. We were extremely lucky our house hadn't already burned down. Johnnie and Kyle worked way late into the night having to basically rewire everything. They took extra care in making sure our house was safe for us. We also had concerns over the cost, this was not the best time financially for us, but we were pleasantly surprised with what they charged us. Both men were extremely polite, friendly and considerate of our needs. We will be calling Jade Electrical for all of our electrical needs from now on and referring them to everyone we know."

"Roger from Freedom Electric performed services for us on two separate visits. On the first visit he replace 4 light fixtures, added an additional electrical outlet, moved an outlet and a switch and replaced two ceiling fans. We were having an issue where turning our light on in the bathroom would trip our breaker. Roger was able to identify the problem as a shorting fixture which we replaced. On his second visit he replaced the ceiling fan in our living room which has a 20 foot ceiling as well as replacing two additional fixtures. Roger works quickly and professionally. He is open to questions and provides input and suggestions. Rogers prices were very competitive, much better than other estimates we were provided. He will be our first choice for any other electrical needs. One note about Roger, he's not one of those people who calls you the day before to tell you when he's going to arrive, so don't expect that. You can however, call him as we did, and he does arrive when he says he will."

"We recently completed a major home remodel, including updating old wiring, adding new wiring for a 3,000 sf addition, and upgrading our panels. Mr. Kennison and his team were outstanding! He was incredibly informative, always responsive, respectful, and completely honest throughout the entire process. He took time to explain everything clearly and made a huge project feel manageable. The quality of work was flawless, and even inspectors commented on how well everything was done. His team showed up on time, worked efficiently, and treated our home with great care. Mr. Kennison holds himself to the highest standards, and it shows. If I could give more than five stars, I would! This company is the absolute best — trustworthy, skilled, and a pleasure to work with. I recommend them 100% for any electrical project, big or small. Thank you, Mr. Kennison, for such an amazing experience!"

"I had an electrical outlet installed on my brick fireplace so I could hang my TV up. I was quoted from another company $600 and would have the outlet box exposed from the brick. I used Enoch and it done for $150. Plug looks great! I'll use Enoch anytime I need electric work done."

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Grand Prairie, TX

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
