"Hired Grants Tree Service to remove a large dead silver maple tree from my back yard. Excellent experience from beginning to end. Very prompt response to my request for estimate. Price was very competitive -- thousands less then one of the estimates I got. Very professional crew. They did a great job, including removal of the tree and grinding of stump. Would definitely recommend and hire again."

Customers say: Super punctual

"Cody, and all the workers at Ramsey & Family Tree Service did an excellent job removing 10 large, and very tall trees that were too close to our home. They were prompt and very considerate and careful about our property. They cleared all the branches and trunks, leaving even our driveway clear of debris! We fully recommend Cody and his team for any tree removal projects!"

"When I called for a quote, he came within a day. Being very busy, I was told it might even be 6 weeks. They called me last night and said they could do it this morning at 8. So that was only a week. They were prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and fast. The arborist also told me that the tree did not need cabling which saved me some money! We also discussed what I will do in the future. They cleaned up the yard upon completion. I will use them again!"

"It was AWESOME!!  This is the second time I have used this company.  Totally professional from the free estimate through the job being done. The entire crew knew exactly what they were doing.  You can tell that they have experience getting the job done without the destruction of structures around the area.  I had a fence, shed and play area that could have been damaged if something went wrong.  The gentleman literally walked right up the tree using safety equipment and his knowledge to take the tree down branch by branch was nothing but amazing.
I babysit a few children, whom became their audience.  They were so kind with the kids and interacted with them.  They even loaded the firewood into my elderly father's pick up truck so he can use it this winter for his wood burning stove.  I will use them again and again.  If you need tree service, A Woman's Touch is the place to go!

"Mohican Tree Service made a priority call to come and remove a tree that had fallen on our home during a storm. The job required a crane crew and they handled everything with care and professionalism! THANK YOU!!"

FAQs for tree stump removal projects in Granville, OH

Always transport chainsaws with the engine off and chain brake engaged. Use the protective bar cover provided by the rental company to prevent accidental contact with the cutting chain. Position the chainsaw securely in your vehicle to prevent movement during transit, ideally in a truck bed or trunk rather than the passenger compartment.

For gas models, ensure the fuel cap is tight and position the saw to minimize potential leakage. Keep the chainsaw away from passengers and other items that could be damaged.

Proper safety equipment is essential when operating any chainsaw. At minimum, you should have eye protection (safety glasses or a face shield), hearing protection (earplugs or earmuffs), cut-resistant gloves, chainsaw chaps or pants, and sturdy boots with good traction.

Many rental facilities offer basic safety kits alongside chainsaw rentals. If you'll be using chainsaws regularly, investing in quality personal safety gear is advisable. Never operate a chainsaw without appropriate protective equipment, regardless of the job size.

While rental companies will rent chainsaws to beginners, inexperience significantly increases safety risks. If you've never used a chainsaw before, request a demonstration from the rental staff and thoroughly review the operator's manual before starting. Begin with smaller, more manageable cutting tasks to build comfort with the tool's operation.

For significant cutting jobs, consider either taking a chainsaw safety course first or hiring professionals instead. The learning curve for safe chainsaw operation is steep, and caution is paramount.

If mechanical problems develop during your rental, immediately cease operation and contact the rental company. Most reputable rental businesses will either provide a replacement chainsaw or repair the equipment if the breakdown resulted from normal use rather than misuse. Document the issue with photographs when possible and maintain records of when you reported the problem.

Having your rental agreement readily available when you call will expedite the resolution process. The rental company should adjust your rental period to account for any downtime.
