"My husband and I are remodeling our living room and dining room and he saw Wilson plastering truck at Lowe s and after calling about 3 other plastering business to get quotes, Wilson plastering was the only one to get back to him and came right out to the house to asses the job and He gave us a fair quote for the job that needed to be done. He was here within a few days with his work crew to start the job. They got the job done in one day and were very neat and clean. They put down paper to protect the floor and covered the walls and such that were not being plastered. My husband and I would highly recommend them. "Nelson and his assistant from New England Plastering and Painting did an outstanding job repairing my ceiling in our living room. They had to remove damaged ceiling that was caused by water/sewerage leak. Then they had to install a large piece of drywall and plaster over it. Nelson and his partner did an awesome job feathering the plaster to make the drywall fit in seamlessly. Another great thing they did was to block off the area (with drop cloths and plastic) they were working in. This kept the work and debris area contained. As a result, no debris and dust went elsewhere. Overall, I am thoroughly impressed with the work performed by New England Plastering and Painting. "When my parents died, I had to sell their 1840s Victorian on the East side. Some plaster had fallen from a ceiling, along with five feet of decorative plaster molding where the ceiling met the wall. I needed to get that repaired before I could put the house on the market. I sent photos around, but every plasterer in town was afraid to take the job. Steve and his crew (Charlie and Paul) accepted the challenge and did a great job of repairing the hole and duplicating the molding. They worked around my schedule and got the job finished exactly when they said they would. Steve matched the paint to the ceiling and the repair blends in so well with the rest of the room, you'd never know anything had happened. They went beyond, fixing a few other cracks in the room, and did a great job of cleaning up when they were done."

"I really wanted to like this company. I liked the owners; I liked that they were local, and I liked that they were a small, family-owned company. I did not like that the owners left for vacation the week that the majority of the work was to be done. I did not like that many of the wooden shingles were sanded, resulting in what looks like a poor paint job in many spots. I did not like that no one called to tell me about an upstairs windowsill that fell apart during prep. I had to call to ask about that, which prompted the employee (who admitted that he had considered the job done) to call the owner. I do like that the sill was repaired shortly thereafter--in fact, I like the carpentry work in general. I like that some of the shingles were replaced so that the paint job that I see every time I enter the house looks better. I don't like that many other parts of the house don't look so good. I also really, really, really don't like that the owners never showed up to look over the job with me. An appointment for such was scheduled, but no one showed. The checks I wrote were promptly cashed, though. I wish I had hung on to the last one until someone came to assess the job, but, alas, I did not. Bottom line: I will not use this company again, nor will I recommend them to others. (And I really wanted  to be able to do that!)
