"This is the second time I have hired Rodriguez to do this type of work and they did a fantastic job again.  They had to call We Energies to take down the trees that were really tangled in the power lines, but Rodriguez coordinated that part of the job.  It's nice to hire a contractor that just takes care of everything.  After they cleaned up the branches, the stump grinding crew came the next day and finished up the work.  They left my yard looking clean and I am ready to plant newer, shorter trees in the empty space.  Their prices are affordable and the quality of their work is excellent. <br />"

"Received a very detailed written estimate within a week of my phone request. The mowing estimate was a reasonable $27.00 a week but the spring cleanup estimate of $145 for my tiny yard was almost double of other estimates. I would have considered the mowing service but the written estimate came with almost 2 pages of "disclaimers" and "warnings" which was very off-putting and left me with the impression that this would be a very difficult company to deal with if there was ever a problem."

"We have hired them to do the work at our church but they have not started the work. We were very happy with the price that they gave us and our meeting with them. We look forward to working with them. We hired them because we were so impressed with the proposal that they gave us during the initial contact. We cannot comment on the quality of their work yet as they have not done anything so far. We have a huge church ground which is about five acres of ground and they are going to be doing all the work on the ground. It was two different estimates. The estimate was for $14000 to do all of the lawn care except for the snow plowing as it would be charged based on the inches of the snow that would be plowed. The lawn care includes trimming, weeding, pre-emergent, spraying on all the perennials and cleaning up everything at the end of the season."

"<p>We have been very happy with the service. Estimates were prompt and reasonable, started service right away.</p> <p>The only issue we had (not really an issue) was the first cut was shorter than I like it. Sent an email to cut it at the height I wanted and the next week the adjustment was made.</p> <p>Reliable, prompt and the lawn looks great! We are exploring some other projects with this provider as well.</p> <br />"

FAQs for lawn care aeration projects in Greendale, WI

Aeration is the best way to keep your lawn healthy and vibrant. Annual aeration makes your lawn more breathable and helps nutrients reach the roots, improving water absorption and reducing puddles where pests might breed. However, timing matters. It's best to avoid aerating during droughts, extreme heat, or if your lawn is battling weeds. A local pro can help you determine the ideal time for your yard.

Most lawns benefit from annual aeration to keep them healthy and thriving. If your lawn has a lot of thatch buildup—more than half an inch—you might need to aerate twice a year for a couple of years to get it under control. But if your soil isn't compacted and there's minimal thatch, you might be able to skip a year.

When you hire a professional lawn care company, a standard 10,000-square-foot lawn takes about 30 minutes to aerate. Uneven, sloped, or especially large lawns can take significantly more time. So, depending on your lawn's size and condition, the process can take anywhere from half an hour to several hours.

The best time to aerate your lawn is during the spring or fall when your grass is actively growing and the soil has enough moisture. Aerating once in the spring and once in the fall yields the best results. Avoid aerating when your lawn is dormant or right after heavy rain when the soil is too wet—that can make aeration less effective.

Even if your lawn looks healthy, aeration can still be beneficial. If you have good growth, proper drainage, and little thatch, you might not need to aerate right away. Regular aeration helps water and nutrients reach the roots, keeping your lawn strong over time. Keep an eye on your lawn's condition to decide when it might need aeration.
