"Thomas and John did a wonderful job cleaning our 70 year old slate foyer. It was dirty, dull and stained. The grout was filthy. They arrived promptly at 1:00 and several hours later we could barely believe our eyes! The foyer was gorgeous and restored to its original beauty. They also repaired a broken piece of marble on the hearth of our fireplace. (They are coming back to remove some acidic stains on that, as well.) They left everything neat & tidy after the job was complete. Thomas and John were true professionals....friendly, respectful and very knowledgeable about slate/stone/marble. They explained the process, so there were no surprises. Cost of work was very fair. One more thing, and I think it's an important one - Thomas and John didn't smell like some service people that have been in our home -- no cigarette, marijuana or alcohol odors and not once did we hear any profanity. "After giving us an estimate of two-three days for the completion of our project, Paul of Protect and Preserve prepared the walls in our laundry room, kitchen, and one wall in the master bedroom where repair was needed. Paul is a master at repair and preparation! The walls look fantastic. He touched up the trim and ran a bead of caulk along the top, giving it a "new" look. We've owned several homes and had lots of painting done for us. Paul of Protect and Preserve is by far the best we've ever used! A written proposal was prepared before the work began; we signed off on the contract when the work was completed. "It went well. A guy came out and did a free basement inspection. We had some water intrusion that I am correcting myself but I wanted a pro to come out and make sure the sill and other foundation parts were still in good shape. He came out and answered all of my questions in the inspection, and explained that the sill plate was still in good shape and that no repairs were needed. That was honest of him and incredibly helpful information to know. He did a thorough inspection and was polite enough to answer all of my questions. Very professional!"
