I also appreciated their candor Tom only quoted for labor and helped me to procure the material required for the deck install. He even transported some of the material from the lumber yard to my house at no cost (As we needed more material). As the old deck was rotting and we needed to change much more lumber than was anticipated Tom did not charge me anything extra for his efforts. They went above and beyond my expectation on this project. Tom also kept me and my wife informed about the schedule on this project. It was completed on time and within budget. "It was fine. On some aspects of it, they were very good. They were very, very flexible in terms of scheduling. There was a disconnect between the day they came out to do the evaluation and when they came to actually do the service. That was largely on me. But, when I called back to schedule the time, they were very flexible and very open. But there was also a disconnect in terms of expectations. When they came out to look at the places, there were no issues or problems or anything that came up. Whereas, when people came out to actually do the work - it was different people than the person who came out to do the estimate - they were like, "Well, it really should have only been this and it really should have only been that."
