"We had zoysia lawn installed on our new build in late October. By January of the next year, we noticed huge squares (approximately 90 square feet) of the lawn were totally dead. The rest of the lawn was not in good shape either as many weeds and crabgrass were poking through the lawn. We contacted the contractor who told us not to worry about it and call back in the spring. By April, the areas were still brown and only weeds were flourishing in most of the areas. We were told by our neighbor that the contractor did not prep the soil at all. He simply laid the sod over the existing sand and never brought in topsoil or tilled the sand. The contractor finally agreed to come out as we also had 5 dead shrubs. The contractor first tried to blame the symmetrical square patches on moles. This was a ridiculous explanation as moles dig in a linear pattern, not in square pattern. He then tried to blame the problem on fertilizer which we applied a week before he arrived. He had told us not to fertilize in fall or winter which we did not. After much debate, he finally agreed to fertilize for us. That solution did not work and he said he would do a second treatment. He never showed up for that. He also said he would replace the five shrubs that were dead. He did not do that either. We finally corrected the problem by replacing those areas with new sod and hand weeding the entire lawn. We also had to purchase five new shrubs that should have been replaced. This contractor refuses to take responsibility for faulty work and refuses to stand behind his work. We ended up spending over $1000.00 to correct his mistakes."

CROWNE ZOYSIA SOD - HAVE A YARD THAT MAKES YOUR NEIGHBORS GREEN WITH ENVY - 2023 Proudly created with Wix.com Music Music Why choose Crowne Zoysia? Crowne Zoyiagrass is an aggressive, dark green, course textured lawn grass. It is best suited for use as a warm-season turfgrass for golf course roughs, home lawns, industrial parks and highway right-of-ways.Crowne is noted for its tolerance to drought, cold weather and its rapid recuperative ability. Send Soil Preparation Remove all grass and weeds. Begin soil work to eliminate drainage problems (slope away from your house etc) For best results add a layer of compost to your existing soil. Rake soil smooth. Be sure to keep soil level about 1 inch below sidewalks or the driveway. Installation Install sod immediately after delivery. Begin installing sod along driveway or sidewalk pushing edges together tightly without stretching. Use a sharp knife to trim edges. Be sure to stagger joints of the sod in a brick-like pattern to avoid continuous seems. Begin watering sod within 30 min of installation. Watering your new lawn Water new sod as soon as possible after installation. Water at least once per day during the first two weeks after installation. Use enough water to keep the sod and soil moist but not soaking wet. Make sure the sod and upper soil remain moist throughout the day. Be extra cautious during hot, dry windy weather. Sod can quickly dry out. Proper watering will ensure good turf rooting. As soon as the new grass is well rooted (can not pull grass from soil) begin a deep and infrequent watering. - Soil Preparation - - Installation - - Water - HOME ENVIRONMENTAL MERITS RESISTANCE TO INSECTS AGRONOMIC MERITS LOW WATER USE CHINCH BUGS COARSE TEXTURE SHADE TOLERANT ARMYWORMS EXCELLENT ESTABLISHMENT COLD HARDY MOLE CRICKET RAPID RE-GROWTH HEAT TOLERANT ZOYSIA MITE LOW NUTRITIONAL NEEDS SALT TOLERANT SOD WEBOWRM TRAFFIC TOLERANT Great Replacement Grass for Ground Pearl Damage.
