I went with a minimalist look for the shower since it's in our basement. It replaces an old bathtub and tired-looking tile that never seemed to get clean. My husband installed it many years ago when we turned our basement into an in-law suite. It ended up being my son's little apartment and being a guy, he hardly ever cleaned that area.
