Small jobs welcome

My name is Daniel Hood, owner of HoodTechSolutions LLC. I’ve always been the person friends, family, and neighbors call when something won’t connect, won’t print, won’t sync, or just won’t behave. Over time, that passion turned into a full‑service tech support business built on trust, professionalism, and genuine care for the people I serve.

"He drew it and took pics of himself doing it otherwise we wouldn't believe even drew it. It looks like a photograph. We've never seen anything like it. He's amazing. He has also hand drawn pictures of my wedding and of my grand father for his funeral service."

"Two Ladies and A Truck is more like hiring a platoon of Marines in top condition. I called around 4:00 pm on a Friday, with almost no hope of finding anyone to clean my mother's home after she moved out. Not only did my call get returned within half an hour, Chariese (the owner) showed up half an hour later to look things over and give me a quote. One hour after that she returned with her partner and her truck. <br /> I was at my wit's end running on fumes of energy. There were several small mountains of things yet to be packed, plus all of the cleaning to do. There were strong emotions and tensions everywhere, among 4-5 other people in the house. Chariese and Heather quietly and expertly began organizing, packing, and moving the mountains forward, cleaning every surface as they went. They packed, they mopped, they vacuumed (with a monster Dyson!), they wiped down every shelf and baseboard, cleaned every mirror and pane of glass, and made the kitchen sparkle from floor to ceiling. They emptied and cleaned two refrigerators. And they did a million things that only a meticulous, caring, and very astute person would think of... all those and quot;first impressionand quot; things like straightening every slat of every blind, arranging the curtains and rugs perfectly, cleaning the front door, and even pulling down the ceiling filter from the HVAC which was plugged with dust. They took control of a flat out disaster and pulled off a miracle for an unbelievably reasonable price – on a Friday night! They inspired all of us and within an hour, showed us that there was light at the end of the tunnel. <br /> I have pretty high standards, and can clean alongside any pro. But I am telling you, these ladies are in a class by themselves. They think for themselves and go way beyond the ordinary. It is so rare these days to meet such hard working, decent people who don't require hand holding or hovering. They see and perceive the entire situation and then they simply get. the. job. done. Only they get it done better than you ever imagined or hoped for... can you tell I'm impressed? Oh yes I am. That is why I am taking the time to write this after midnight when I am dead tired. I believe it's important to recognize extraordinary people and exceptional effort. <br /> P.S. Be sure to ask Chariese about her and quot;Brazilian Broomand quot; – it's very cool and it really works. Neat trick. Neat gal. Everyone should get to know her, she makes you want to stand up straight! <br />"

FAQs for holiday lighting add or remove projects in Hanceville, AL

If climbing ladders or handling wiring isn’t in your comfort zone, hire a pro. Look for installers who post clear per-foot or hourly rates, carry insurance, and have solid reviews. Comparing at least three quotes helps you spot fair pricing without sacrificing safety. Skipping credentials to save a few dollars can cost you far more in repairs, so pick a qualified team and enjoy a safe, eye-catching display.

Yes, booking between February and September often scores lower rates because demand is light and pros have open calendars. You might even negotiate a discount package that includes removal or storage. If the budget is tight, ask whether a handyperson or an off-season permanent-light install makes sense for your home and timeline.

Determining the number of holiday lights for your house depends on your home’s size and specific decorative vision. Your project requires 10 to 20 light strands for a basic exterior display, with 100 lights allocated for eaves and an additional 10 to 20 bulbs for each awning.

For trees and substantial shrubs, allocate five to 10 strands per unit to achieve complete and balanced illumination across your property.

Tipping isn’t mandatory, but it’s a nice way to thank your installer for a job well done. Most homeowners offer 10% to 20% of the total bill or round up to an even figure if the crew exceeds expectations. A small extra goes a long way toward showing appreciation—and may help you snag priority booking next season.

Yes, you can install holiday lights yourself if your property layout is straightforward and your electrical system is secure. Homeowners who are confident in their ability to safely handle wiring and use proper equipment can save money with a DIY approach.

However, it is crucial to test all outlets thoroughly and secure the proper ladders and safety gear before starting. Careful planning and adherence to safety guidelines are essential to protect yourself and your home while achieving an attractive display.

Start by clearing the area of loose debris, damaged shingles, and anything that could trip you up. Test outdoor outlets and, if you’re unsure, bring in an electrician. Use a sturdy extension ladder (or scaffolding for very high spots) and never work alone—having a helper steady the ladder is non-negotiable. Taking these simple steps keeps you, your roof, and your new lights safe.
