"Our original deck was over 20 years old and needed work (boards replaced, etc). We were in need to have the deck replaced rather than to continue to do maintenance on the 20 year old deck. <br> <br>Price: <br>We received several quotes and Deck Works, comparatively,  was very reasonable for what was requested. There were different options you could add, such as, lighting or aluminum balusters that would increase the price.  <br> <br>Reputation: <br>When we had received the estimate from Deck Works, they were currently building another screened porch & deck in our neighborhood. Jeff (the owner of the company) had invited us (of course with permission from the home owner) to come by and see their work. As soon as we walked up, the home owner came out and complimented them saying what a good experience it had been working with Deck Works and if we were going to be building a deck to definitely use them. With the reasonable estimate, the recommendation both from this neighbor and Angie's List…we decided to go with them. We are so glad we did.  <br> <br>Professionalism:  <br>We could not have asked for them to be any more professional. They were kind, courteous, punctual, extremely hard working.  There was no loud music and they were very considerate.  <br>They were sure everything was done to code-- no cutting corners.  <br>They kept the area clean during the project and when they were finished everything looked wonderful.   <br>They started the deck on Monday and were done by Thursday (yes…done in 4 days). They put screens in on Friday…completely finished mid morning….incredible! Despite working long days they were a pleasure to interact with and you could tell they enjoyed what they were doing. They even took time to show my 1 year old their power tools.  <br> <br>Flexibility:  <br>Jeff (the owner) even up to the day before they began the project, was flexible in exploring different options with us about what we wanted.  Even during the week, we made a last minute decision to see if they could do something with the unusable area below the screened porch (it was on a hill). For a very reasonable price, they built a smaller deck below the screened porch and still completed the entire project in 4.5 days! Now that area is usable deck space, where  before the only use for it was our trash can storage…definite improvement.  <br> <br>Quality:  <br>I appreciated that Deck Works used high quality wood (Grade 1 Yellawood) and other materials. I think this deck will be here as long as the original one…if not longer. After interacting with Jeff (the owner) , we knew that they were definitely not trying to cut corners, rip us off, or be dishonest. Actually, we got the impression that the priority with this company was the quality of work…we did not doubt this once we met Jeff and his crew….they were all very skilled carpenters.  <br> <br>We would highly recommend this company and would hands down use them again. <br> <br>"

"Adam suggested bushes and trees to cut back, and a general approach to clean up the appearance of the front and back yards. I went with many of his suggestions. These included removing one of the trees from the front yard; limbing the remaining front yard trees, and several in the back yard; removing several trees in the back yard; severely cutting back bushes in both the front and back yards; and spreading mulch in both the front and back yards. The job was completed in two days, in a very professional manner, and I am thrilled with how the yard looks. All tasks were completed in a very professional manner. As is the case with any outdoor work, the exact date when the landscaping was to occur was uncertain until the point when it actually occurred; this was exacerbated by an unusual amount of rain last summer and fall. It is also the case that Myers Landscapes has a backlog, which one would expect from a successful company; so nobody should expect that they could request work and have it completed the following week. But working with Myers Landscapes is well worth the wait."

"I found them through my Church, and they proved to be exceptional. They were on time. They provided a plan, and the estimate was reasonable. The negotiations were fine, and they completed it in two days. They were great. The service was outstanding. The landscaping service was just under $4000 while the lighting was about $1000. Everything they did was outstanding. Their price was outstanding, based on the feedback that I got from my friends. They brought in equipment and did a lot of landscaping. They had to pull out old and existing landscaping. They did a lot. They literally worked from sunrise to sunset on both days. They were on time, and they were here at 7 o’ clock on both days. They stayed until the job was completed on both days, in addition to which, they cleaned up. They hauled everything off, and my yard looked as though nothing had been disrupted.
