The carpet stretching was for two wrinkled areas in the path of high traffic of a 12-year-old carpet. After stretching and cutting the carpet around a floor vent he asked me how I wanted him to fix the area around the vent which was now off center from the stretching and gave me a couple options which I felt was odd. I thought he should know how to handle it so it looked the best. I did make a choice and it looks fine but the whole interaction left me a bit puzzled. In the end the carpet looks good and has probably bought me a few more years of use looking nice before it will be replaced."
