"Fixing another person’s mess is never as easy, but they did a great job sanding, touching up and repainting all while keeping the mess down. They were flexible with our schedule and worked long hours to get it done in a short period of time."

"Mike Hagen (and all of his crew) are hands down the BEST contractors to work with. Mike is such a down to earth guy, and was so accommodating to build our house the way we wanted it! Even after the house was finished, he has been so responsive in coming to help us figure out the quirks of it all. I HIGHLY recommend him! The next home we build will definitely be a Hagen Construction house!"

"Lance was very professional and helpful with explaining the product. I had, had several bids prior to meeting with H.R. They made it affordable for me to get both my siding and metal roof on the home. They provided me a time frame and were out a little earlier then what they expected. During the whole process they stayed in contact with me and kept me updated of any changes. They were thorough, cleaned my property extremely well, were considerate of the animals I have. I would definitely use them again. Overall good price and great workmanship."

"I am so glad I selected Paradise Fencing to remove an old chain link fence and install a solid vinyl fence. Everyone I dealt with throughout the project was extremely professional, reliable, and hard working. Matt answered every single question I had concerning the installation process and the product. Once the project started, they worked hard to complete it quickly for me on some very hot days. They even removed unwanted lava rocks for me and hauled away a ton of branches I had cut down earlier in the spring. I just love the fence. It improved the look of the property. I had an appraisal done recently and the fence added to the overall value of the property as well. After the project was completed, Matt contacted me to make sure I was pleased with everything. I could not be more pleased. Matt, Kale, and the rest of the crew really do nice work. I have several other projects that need to be completed and I will be hiring Paradise Fencing in the future. I strongly recommend this company. <br />"

"Eric came the first day, put down tarps on floor and over bathtub/shower. He sanded the cabinets. The next day he painted the ceiling and varnished the cabinets. The third day he put up the molding which he had varnished at his shop. Each day he removed the tarps, cleaned up after himself and then put them down again. There was very little work and now my bathroom is fresh with a new look."

"Quality is excellent and the design and installation looks like it has always been there in the dining room. The price is reasonable for the quality of the work. Steve is very personable and responsive in terms of design and coming back to add a few finishing touches. However, communication was not the best in terms of getting the work and contract underway and letting us know where things were in process, so we could plan accordingly. Overall, we are very satisfied with the result and recommend Joshua Tree.  In addition, we have had a chair with a broken leg and a small table needing repair fixed by Joshua Tree and the results were excellent. <br />"

FAQs for cabinets refinish projects in Helena, MT

To find the best cabinet refinishing expert for your project, start by researching local pros and reading reviews from previous customers. Reach out to a few contractors to discuss your cabinets' size, condition, and the look you're aiming for. Don't hesitate to ask for references or examples of their past work. Speaking with previous clients can give you valuable insights into the pro's workmanship and reliability.

When speaking with potential cabinet refinishing pros, consider asking them several questions to gauge their experience and professionalism. These questions can help you gauge the pro's experience and determine if they align with your needs.

  • Do you offer a guarantee on your work?

  • Can you create custom finishes or colors?

  • Do you have examples or samples of your past projects?

  • Are you able to match the finish to other cabinets in my home?

  • How long will the project take from start to finish?

Regular care will help maintain the beauty of your cabinets for years to come. To keep your refinished cabinets looking their best, follow these steps:

  • Use gentle cleaners: Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that can damage the finish. A simple mixture of warm water and mild dish soap works well.

  • Clean carefully: Instead of spraying solutions directly onto the cabinets, apply them to a soft microfiber cloth and wipe gently.

  • Protect from heat and moisture: Try to minimize exposure to excessive heat or moisture, which can affect the finish over time.

It's usually less costly to refinish cabinets than to replace them, depending on the cabinet condition. Refinishing cabinets cost an average of $3,114 while replacing cabinets is about $5,000 or more. When deciding to refinish or replace cabinets, consider several factors, including how old your cabinets are, your budget, and whether you need to complete any other renovation projects at the same time.

It may be worth resurfacing (also known as refacing) your cabinets if they’re in good shape but you’re interested in a different look. This is often less expensive than replacing cabinets outright and can allow you to update the look of your cabinets to reflect your kitchen’s current style without having to get rid of them entirely. The cost to reface cabinets is around $4,300 to $10,000, and you can hire a local cabinet refacing pro to handle this work.

Refinishing cabinets takes about two to three days to complete. The process begins with removing cabinet doors, drawers, and hardware, followed by cleaning, stripping, and sanding the surfaces. Any chips, stains, or splits are repaired before applying paint or stain. After applying the finish, the cabinets are reassembled, and the workspace is cleaned up, leaving your cabinets refreshed and renewed.
