"I had a rather specific and somewhat specialized need for a backyard concrete patio. The project called for a roughly 14x16 ft slab, of 4" thick with wire mesh concrete - and most importantly the entire patio needed to be pitched toward a centered drywell, for proper drainage. For added trickiness, the backyard had no street access, other than through the house, so the concrete needed to be pumped in (which could get messy). I interviewed three contractors and found JGJ Home Improvement Corp. to be the best overall fit. They came in priced right and fully understood what I needed - without the typical (for whatever reason) inflated ego.  Luis started - THE NEXT DAY - and got the job done the same day, to exact specifications.  His team was professional, skilled and clean - and they thoroughly cleaned up after the job.  And most brilliant is that they hit the perfect pitch - The patio drains like a dream!... Beautiful.  Again, for me, it was essential that the contractor listened, understood and could act promptly, with a high degree of confidence and within my budget. Said had this genius idea of spreading it across the whole backyard. and leveling. it. it was not an easy thing but the result was perfect. and then he has a great aesthetic taste. for example when he installed the pavers he created patterns, different areas with different orientation. .then had this great idea of making the last 10 of the backyard elevates so that it feels like a patio. moreover he created vases for plants on the sides of the walls with stones. (see picture). artistic work. and he did all this by himself. just him. one man job what should have been 2-3 man job. and then on top of all this, he is such a nice person, always smiling, always open to anything and to ideas. he has ideas but he also wants to hear from you , always looking to learn. and if you don't like something he is of course very open to change it but not before telling you:â let me do presentationâ his favorite frase. and he will create it for you to se what he means. every friend of mine that has seen his work has asked me his number. So my advice is, whatever you are looking to do, stoop and look no further, as you have arrived you have found the right men for the job."
