"Matt Hartman is a “Magician with a brush” (and a trowel)! He just finished re-plastering and painting three floors of our 120 year old brownstone townhouse. The place looks fabulous and he completed the work on time, on budget and was minimally disruptive. He never made a mess even though he did extensive plaster work. He even came back to do touch-ups when a mover and a carpet layer damaged his work. This isn't the first time we've used Matthew. Several years ago a leaking shower caused significant damage to our parlor floor ceiling including plaster molding. He restored the ceiling and decorative molding completely On top of everything else, he's a really nice guy! I can't recommend him highly enough."

I've been working in brownstones and nyc apartments for 30 years. Do wall prep, minor renovations, bathroom and kitchen remodels, tiling, gardening, and all sorts of finish work and restoration, on spaces and furniture. \n\nHave also done exteriors in ulster and greene county upstate, troubleshooting anytype of triuble a house might have! "Reiterating all the previous reviews here - Keith and his team are incredible. Keith was professional, responsive, easy-going, and someone you can trust to give you an honest and in depth assessment. He also goes out of his way to help out his clients! He knew we were rushing to get painting done before moving into a new house and was able to find a way to fit both the assessment visit and the painting itself into his schedule over weekends with just 1-2 weeks notice. We had 3 bedrooms and 2 offices fully repainted, as well as some touch ups in the living room where there was some light damage from the previous owners. The touch ups were supposed to be pretty low lift, but Keith ended up redoing some walls fully since he didn't want to risk colors not matching (and he didn't charge for it when I insisted! He is clearly a perfectionist!). His team also did an incredible job prepping the place and cleaning up, even finishing earlier than expected - you can tell they are efficient and really pay attention to details from end to end. We were so thrilled by the job that he and his team did and the unique character each of our rooms have now. I look forward to contacting Quality Finishes Painting again when I want to have more rooms painted. Can't recommend them enough!"

"John and his crew were great! We had moved in to our new apartment during the pandemic and it took us about 4 months to finally get painters in. I was still working from home at the time and John was wonderful at being flexible with my availability and with having me in the space while they painted my home. The job so done fast and beautifully! We consulted after everyday of work and John was always good about pointing out things that he was going to pay more attention or area that were more challenging then expected. We felt that his pricing was very fair and when we met in person to give us an official quote I really liked the kind of person he was. Honest, thoughtful, and fair. I would absolutely hire John for another paint job."

"<p>He hired David previously to remove wallpaper glue, repair plaster and paint staircase walls, upper and lower hallways. He also faux finished some pine trim that was original to the house (built in 1930's) that was in need of some TLC. He did an excellent job, worked clean, accommodated our schedules and stuck to the original estimated price. </p> <p>We had him come back to stain/finish the kitchen woodwork. The final price came in below the original estimate and, again, he did an excellent job.</p> <p>RECOMMEND HIM HIGHLY!!!</p>"
