"I am extremely unhappy. They were hired to rip out all of the flooring and patch and level out the concrete subfloor. They were going to install LVP flooring and new baseboard. They were also going to paint teo walls. I was told it was going to be a two to three day job. Since they were doing my entire condo I needed to stay in a hotel. They ordered the flooring from Home Depot on July 30th. They showed up around 8:30 am on August 4th to start ripping up the old flooring and start patching. They told me on August 6th that the flooring would be delivered either August 12th or 13th. They had patched the living room and dining room and only pulled of some of the flooring in the kitchen. They leveled the concrete in the dining room to the kitchen floor that hadn't been ripped up and said they decided it wasn't necessary to remove the kitchen floor and it would now cost a lot more to do what I asked for. They told me that they would only pull up one of the layers of old flooring in the bathroom because if they ripped up the tile it would damage the concrete underneath that needed patching in the first place. They left the windows open and patched concrete in front of it so there was no access to close the windows. It was 90°+ with high humidity that affected how the concrete dried. Since the flooring didn't arrive at Home Depot until Aug 13th, I had to extend my hotel stay an extra 10 days. Even though they said they would try to pick up the flooring on the 13th and start that day, they waited until the 14th. When they arrived that morning they told me the flooring need to sit in my home for 2-3 days to acclimate before installing. I told them I couldn't wait. So they started the installation that day. They locked up that day since I wasn't able to go check on things til they came back in the morning. When I let the worker in in the morning I was upset that they started laying the planks the wrong direction. When I call the owner to tell him it was wrong he said they decided to put it that way and that since half was already done they wouldn't change it. They decided what kind of baseboard to install. They were supposed to match it to the basebord attached to the panel in the kitchen and dining room that couldn't be replaced. Instead the new baseboard is an inch and a have taller and it's not even. The edges aren't finished off and the caulking is lumpy. There are gaps between the floor and baseboard. There are bad cuts in the floors around corners abd door jams. The caulking is extremely noticeable. There is almost a two inch difference in height between the bedroom and bathroom which creates a safety issue. The never removed any of the old flooring before putting down the new and didn't remove the vanity. They just cut around it. They removed most of the threshold between the bathroom and laundry area and did move the track for the doors like I had asked. There is nothing holding the floor down at the door threshold, it lifts straight off the floor. Unfortunately I wasn't able to notice a lot since they finished late and there was only a lamp or two in the rooms since there really isn't any overhead lights. While Walking around the floors moved and sounded hollow. They had told me there was thick padding attached to the back of the planks and it would cushion any small imperfections in the subfloor. I tried showing them all the areas where the floor was uneven and hollow sounding. They walked over the spots and denied feeling anything. They even asked the realtor and she shiwed them and they denied it. They kept saying that if I could show them the spots they would fix it and stand behind their work even though I showed them. They left trash behind. It took me two hours to sweep and mop so I could move my furniture back in the next morning. They damaged a stand fan left behind to use. The dented the dishwasher and didn't put it fully back in place. The door won't close so I don't even know if it works. They moved and scratched my brand new washer dryer combo with pedestal drawer that won't open because they moved it. I found out that my router was reset and security camera disabled. I also found a half empty beer can on the balcony that no one else had access to. My realtor said there is no way I can put it on the market in the condition it's in. The contractor knew I was redoing the floors to put it on the market. The contractor came over to discuss the issues I had while my realtor was there. It was a disaster and there was yelling since I was constantly interrupted. They said that it wasn't their job to double check with me about which way the planks were to be laid or what baseboard to use. When they painted the walls, they didn't take out the old anchors for the curtain rod and patch. They painted over it and painted around the curtain rod. They told me that no one takes off curtain rods and paints under them. They had no comment about not patching the small nail holes before painting. They said things were my fault and that they weren't intimidating me. They finally said they would fix the baseboard, kitchen floor and bathroom floor but that I would have to buy all new material. Or they would give me $1,500 to have someone else do it. They said that I knew the delivery date and was fine with it. I tried to tell them the text they sent me didn't show the date, but was told I was lying about everything and he wasn't talking to me anymore. I told them that when I talked to Home Depot about the delivery date and proper material needed because of the hollow siund, they told me that the people at Home Depot are stupid and don't know what they're talking about because they just sit behind a computer. When the owner said that they would fix the baseboard, bathroom floor and kitchen floor, he said he would do it his way and that I had to let him know the next day and I was only allowed to text him once. When I texted the next day saying I needed more time to think he told me that he wasn't going to do what he said he would. Unfortunately they wouldn't do a written contract, everything was through text or verbal. That was my fault obviously. But he showed that he was top rated by Angi and sll the reviews were 5 star and pictures were beautiful of other work done."
