"Quick, high quality work! Previously, I used Dunaway in 2021 to complete repairs to fix a leak. These repairs were completed on time and with such a high quality that an inspector later commented on how well the repairs were performed. In April of 2024, I needed several repairs completed quickly and a new roof to close on a home. Dunaway completed all of the repairs including a new roof, trim repairs and replacement, gutter replacement, and exterior door replacement (along with painting repairs) very quickly. The repairs were excellent. Throughout the process, they were excellent at communicating with me, answering questions, showing me work and issues, and completing everything I needed to close on time by working sunup to sundown. The owner and his wife along with all of their employees are friendly and respectful; they were great about cleaning up and leaving the site looking acceptable for my neighbors and HOA each day during the progress and at the end of the job. We discussed the material options for replacing my roof, as well as what structural repairs seemed to be needed. It was clear immediately that first and foremost, Andrew Muncey wanted me to be pleased with the end result of the work and not just put on a few figurative *band-aids.* My own reasons for which direction I thought I wanted to go with the repair were clearly appreciated and honored, while I was also informed of my other appropriate options. As MY home is old enough that the on-site workers would not have even have had the convenience of power tools when first constructed, it was important to me that THIS time, the roofing and other required structural repair be executed in a manner that would honor the craftsmen that were here on-site 106 years ago. I now have a new roof that beautifully compliments the aesthetics of the design of the house, as well as a home that is more structurally sound than I have ever known it to be during my lifetime. Both of these items matter to me, as my neighborhood is now designated as a Historic District on top of my personal connections with the old house that is my home she s like a member of the family. Whether for repair on a more recent construction or an older home, like mine, I can highly recommend Andrew Muncey s Home Repair. For me at least, this project has seemed like I have been dealing with people who understand modern building techniques perfectly, but who also honor the craftsmanship and dignity of times gone by.
