When I returned to Houston in Oct. 2010 I decided to pursue something less hazardous. We receive most of our work from Word of mouth. Some, from lead referral services. We've done 1000+ fences and carry a 4.8 out of 5 rating with over 570 customer reviews. I'm a disabled Veteran, and I'm offering to use my disability discount up to $200.00 on any fencing project to all those that sign with Selph Made Fences. Only one offer per customer. "Mustang was prompt in getting us a quote and starting the project, but did not complete the project to our satisfaction. The workers they sent were always late/ did not show up at the timeframe that they set. Some of the workers were also clueless as to what they were supposed to do when they got here and asked us for guidance. they also put up solar panels for power instead of the agreed upon running a power line. driveway gate was also defective less than a week upon completion. would not close most of the time. we called multiple times trying to get Mustang to come correct the install and we kept getting a “we’ll call you back” line. Poor service once the invoice was paid. Poor service all the way around"

"What they did was good but they did not finish the job. They installed about 112' of fencing with 3 gates. Multiple picket boards were missing nails because they did not have enough for the job. Several sprinkler heads and buried piping were damaged. They repaired the damage but I had to buy one of the replacement sprinkler heads. They cut my buried fiber cable. They were short 5 pickets and did not return to complete the job. They said they would finish but they never came back. This job used metal posts and they were unfamiliar using them. I worked closely with them to get it right and that went well. They seemed to like the metal posts. It was just the follow through that was not done to completion. I would hire them again but I would hold back some of final payment until everything was completed. My fault for not doing that."

"Team did not know what they were doing, always confused. Starz overquoted and underperformed. They used nails instead of screws, causing deep holes, missing nails, loose ends, cheap, splintered wood, and deck was 50 inches tall, requested 52. There were various cuts in the wood, wood splitting, a piece of wood loose where they cut the post hole and didn't secure it to the deck. For the pool, they used regular sand, not compaction sand. The bottom of the pool is bumpy. They put the pool coves behind the uprights holding the frame firm. They had to take the pool apart to take out the coves and put back the uprights. The first time they installed the pool, it was 2 inches higher than the deck. They broke down the pool and removed sand on one side to meet up with the deck. The pool is lopsided and water is 6 inches deeper on one side. I had to pay an additional $300 for them to reinstall. The second time they installed the pool, it still did not flush with the deck. I have to redo it all."
