For my job, I was seeking a contractor that could perform all exterior and interior home refurbishing. After receiving a fair project quote from Manuel Féria, the owner of C&M, we quickly reached a firm fixed price (FP) contract for all materials and labor required to complete the job and agreed upon a one (1) week start date to commence the project. The project involved both exterior and interior phases. The exterior phase included: 1) the cleaning of all exterior walls, windows, and the roof and gutters, 2) carpentry repair work to replace all damaged wood and trim, 3) the rehanging of the gutters following trim replacement, 4) exterior repair of the chimney, 5) the painting of all exterior surfaces including the metal railings, and 6) the deck repair and final staining. The interior phase included: 1) the repair of drywall cracks, 2) the painting of walls, ceilings, and trim, and 3) the interior staining of newly installed windows. The refurbishing project was completed in two (2) weeks for the agreed upon fixed price. All work was performed by skilled professionals that arrived on time daily, completed their work and cleaned up at the end of each day for the interior phase. All exterior repairs were completed using quality materials done by expert carpenters. The interior and exterior painting was performed with true craftsmanship employing attention to details. I can honestly say that C&M outperformed my expectations for the entire project. The house is now refurbished inside and out and looks truly great, I would definitely recommend C&M to anyone needing home repairs/painting and plan to use them again for future work. "I had Susan paint most of our house just before we moved in. She was responsive and got back to me fairly quickly. Her crew was made up of family members and they were respectful to my family and of our home. PRICE. There was some confusion on the cost of the project. Based on our phone conversations and the statement "I charge $22-$25 per hour", my understanding was that I was going to be charged by the hour at or close to the Angie's List "$1765 for 80 Hours" rate (approximately $22 per hour). I took the estimate to be a "not to exceed" price based on pictures and measurements that I texted to Susan. Instead, Susan had quoted it as a lump sum bid that turned out to be over double the Angies's List price after all the hours were tallied up. This is something that I should have paid closer attention to prior to the start of the job as the estimate was written as a lump sum. We did some negotiation on price and were able to come to an agreement. Overall, I was not happy with the price but accept that as my mistake. QUALITY. The quality of the job was adequate but not outstanding. Most outlet and switch cover plates weren't removed for cutting in and of the ones that were removed, they were not all replaced. Several areas needed touching up after the job and there were numerous paint drips on trim and a few on the floor from the cutting in. Drop cloth usage was an issue the first day and I ended up scraping paint splatter off of the hardwood floor for an hour or so that evening. I mentioned this at the beginning of the second day and after that it was slightly better but still a problem. Unfortunately, I have spent quite a lot of time on my hands and knees scraping paint off the floor with my fingernail and am still finding "roller splatter" after a month (see attached picture). RESPONSIVENESS. Good PUNCTUALITY. Adequate PROFESSIONALISM. Good Overall, Susan was friendly, easy to work with, and had good style suggestions that we decided to use. Some coordination was necessary between the painting, carpet cleaning, and movers. This did not appear to be a problem."

"I have worked with over 20 different contractors in the last year or so.  Ron by far is the best we've seen!  His attention to detail and professionalism is first class.  He and his crew came right in and began work immediately; he's strictly business and can do a little bit of everything; and he does it all well; he's a real perfectionist at his skills and we loved that!  He's reliable, dependable, and reasonably priced for the services he provides.  He came behind other contractors who ripped us off and corrected all their sloppy work.  We have finally found someone who is honest, detailed, and provides OUTSTANDING QUALITY WORK.  
He just finished another job for us today. He repaired several areas in my drywall and painted the entire area flawlessly! He went above and beyond on this job; he constantly checked with us to make sure everything was what we wanted; made recommendations, and did little extras we wasn't even expecting.  He cleaned up VERY WELL; actually, it was cleaner when he left than when he arrived.  Lol!
Ron is a true professional who has one of the best work ethics I have ever seen.  He and his crew is the go-to folks for any renovations, projects, fix its, etc. for us for now on.  They were also very friendly and accommodating.  It took us over a year to find a professional like this.    Thanks Ron!

"Very easy to work with and knew / shared extensive knowledge during bid, at the job, and after finished (i.e. need to wait at least 30 days before washing newly painted bathroom).  Quality work, repaired and went beyond in fixing any mistakes (painted extra wall when some paint from the ceiling got on an unpainted wall). Cleaned up well and left us all the extra paint. The only thing that wasn't perfect was that at times when he set up a phone or visit appointment, it was delayed due to being so busy on other jobs. However, he never left me hanging too long and always called the same day to report any delay's. Due to not being in any rush for this job, it was not a big deal to me.
