"We are very pleased with the results of our project. The project encountered many unforeseen issues as old bathroom fixtures, kitchen cabinets and floors were taken out, however Mike had excellent solutions for every problem encountered and the additional charges to correct the unforeseen issues were very reasonable."

"Jeff was prompt, curteous, and professional. He painted the entire exterior of our house which included nearly a week of prep work. It certainly paid off! Our house looks 20 years younger. He additionally refinished the front porch, helped choose painting and staining colors, and was there almost daily over the three week period. He stands by his work. However, he is not the least expensive painter you can hire. I often find, you get what you pay for. His workers were quiet and efficient and cleaned up after themselves every day. I never came home to ladders or paint cans anywhere. I plan to use Jeff for yearly house washing, painting touch ups, and whatever may be needed. I highly recommend him; you won't be disappointed."

"They did a poor job the first time through. The counters were so rough you could cut your finger if you grazed your hand over the surface. Also, where the two pieces of laminate met on the bar they didnt fill it in to make it look like a solid surface. The also oversprayed and we have little bits of gray on our newly refinished cabinets. We contacted them and they Agreed to come out and sand or buff down the rough areas and finish the bar top correctly. They did this bet the area that they redid on the bar was left as a HIGH gloss while the remainder of the counters are very matte. We called them to let them know and were told there were super busy and would contact us as soon as they could to fix it. NO RESPONSE for 2 weeks. We contacted them again, they apologized and said that they would call the following week with a time. NO RESPONSE. In the meantime we bought a house out of state and didnt realize till we came back to our condo to get it listed for sale that it had never been fixed. So called Miracle Method yesterday and had to leave a voicemail. NO RESPONSE. So called again this afternoon and they finally agreed to come out but not until July 31st. I explained we were here to meet with a realtor to take photos and list our house and really need this complete. She said there is nothing they can do and that July 31st is the soonest that they can get anyone out. So hopefully eventually it will all work out. If you are looking for a company with good customer service and good quality the first time this might not be right for you. Time since their first attempt and our request for corrections has been 2.5 months so far and will be 3 months by the time they get it, well hopefully right. If we hadn’t stayed on them I am positive that it would have never been taken care of. BUYER BEWARE!!!"

"The painters did a wonderful job. Everything looks terrific. A large number of boards had to be replaced on 3 of our decks, around our chimney and on the house itself. All the work including power washing the house, caulking everything, replacing all the boards, doing a prime coat, giving everything 2 coats of paint and cleaning up after themselves was done very quickly and started on time. We would definitely recommend them!"

"We can not say enough about this company.  Even though we did not have a high end kitchen, Fran and his installers worked with us as if we were the only kitchen project he had going.  There were many details that we had not thought of, but the installation of the cabinets was seamless.  He will do the entire project or the homeowner can sub out some of the jobs such as floor installation, etc. The installers are his own crew.....they kept us laughing through the upheaval of having no kitchen. The entire project took about 6 weeks.  We are extremely happy with the our new kitchen thanks to the people who made it work! <br />"

FAQs for cabinets refinish projects in Isle Of Palms, SC

To find the best cabinet refinishing expert for your project, start by researching local pros and reading reviews from previous customers. Reach out to a few contractors to discuss your cabinets' size, condition, and the look you're aiming for. Don't hesitate to ask for references or examples of their past work. Speaking with previous clients can give you valuable insights into the pro's workmanship and reliability.

When speaking with potential cabinet refinishing pros, consider asking them several questions to gauge their experience and professionalism. These questions can help you gauge the pro's experience and determine if they align with your needs.

  • Do you offer a guarantee on your work?

  • Can you create custom finishes or colors?

  • Do you have examples or samples of your past projects?

  • Are you able to match the finish to other cabinets in my home?

  • How long will the project take from start to finish?

Regular care will help maintain the beauty of your cabinets for years to come. To keep your refinished cabinets looking their best, follow these steps:

  • Use gentle cleaners: Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that can damage the finish. A simple mixture of warm water and mild dish soap works well.

  • Clean carefully: Instead of spraying solutions directly onto the cabinets, apply them to a soft microfiber cloth and wipe gently.

  • Protect from heat and moisture: Try to minimize exposure to excessive heat or moisture, which can affect the finish over time.

It's usually less costly to refinish cabinets than to replace them, depending on the cabinet condition. Refinishing cabinets cost an average of $3,114 while replacing cabinets is about $5,000 or more. When deciding to refinish or replace cabinets, consider several factors, including how old your cabinets are, your budget, and whether you need to complete any other renovation projects at the same time.

It may be worth resurfacing (also known as refacing) your cabinets if they’re in good shape but you’re interested in a different look. This is often less expensive than replacing cabinets outright and can allow you to update the look of your cabinets to reflect your kitchen’s current style without having to get rid of them entirely. The cost to reface cabinets is around $4,300 to $10,000, and you can hire a local cabinet refacing pro to handle this work.

Refinishing cabinets takes about two to three days to complete. The process begins with removing cabinet doors, drawers, and hardware, followed by cleaning, stripping, and sanding the surfaces. Any chips, stains, or splits are repaired before applying paint or stain. After applying the finish, the cabinets are reassembled, and the workspace is cleaned up, leaving your cabinets refreshed and renewed.
