"A Top Hat and a resounding rating of 10 out of 10 to rbawyoming and EVERY rbawyoming employee--salesmen, office staff, and installation crews. In the past three years, we have purchased Renewal By Anderson windows that were installed by rbawyoming crews in two homes - 12 windows in all, installed by two different amazing crews who were communicative, friendly, and efficient and worked "like well-oiled wheels". When the installations were complete, the only indication that either of these crews had ever even been in our homes was the new, beautiful and easy to use RBA windows. Before they even started, our floors were covered to minimize the effects of the crews movements, dust shields were placed to minimize the dust from removing the old windows, all of the trash and the old windows "disappeared", the new windows were set in place, sealed, trimmed and thoroughly cleaned before we were invited to inspect. RBA windows are well made, solid, quiet, and beautiful! Thanks rbawyoming."

FAQs for doors (exterior) installation and replacement projects in Jackson, WY

Modern steel doors incorporate protective coatings and finishes that significantly reduce rust potential. These treatments create effective moisture barriers when properly maintained. Small scratches or damage should be promptly addressed with touch-up paint to prevent moisture from reaching the underlying metal.

Doors in coastal or high-humidity environments benefit from additional protective measures and more frequent inspection. With proper care, most steel doors resist corrosion for decades.

Steel doors provide superior resistance against forced entry attempts compared to fiberglass alternatives. The inherent strength of steel creates a formidable barrier that resists impacts and tampering more effectively than composite materials.

While high-quality fiberglass doors offer reasonable security, steel provides an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and structural integrity. For maximum protection, look for steel doors with reinforced strike plates and multi-point locking systems.

Most manufacturers provide warranties covering manufacturing defects for periods ranging from five to 15 years, depending on the product line and quality tier. Hardware components often carry separate warranty coverage, often for shorter durations. Installation services may include workmanship guarantees covering proper fitting and operation. Always review warranty documentation carefully to understand coverage limitations and maintenance requirements that might affect warranty validity.

Provided your existing wood frame remains structurally sound and properly aligned, professional installers can often adapt a steel door to fit. The process requires careful measurement and potentially minor modifications to accommodate the new door's specifications. The frame must provide adequate support for the heavier steel door construction. A qualified installer will evaluate your current frame's condition and recommend appropriate adjustments to ensure proper function and security.
