He explained in detail the big branches he would cut, where and how he would place the flagstone paths & outcropping stones and also the new nursery stock his workers would be planting. He and his team were quick and professional completing their work and clean-up in one day. They moved and re-planted some of my existing plants too, expertly placing them and changing my helter-skelter overgrown hosta carpet to a beautiful park-like setting. Beginning with something that looked overly oppressive & shady, my front landscaping now looks light, airy and welcoming. My curb appeal has just gone up 100%! "We contacted three companies seeking ideas/proposals for installing lights in our newly installed pergola. Owner Mike Potucek came out to provide his recommendations. Mike is clearly very knowledgeable about outdoor lighting and is passionate about his work. Mike provided his recommendation to install 9 low voltage LED solid brass light fixtures with stainless steel transformer. Mike noted he could place our existing lights which illuminate our trees and patio bricks into the new transformer. The lights automatically come on at dusk and turn off at the time of our choice. Mike and his team of two arrived on the agreed upon date and, as predicted, they had the lights installed in about 3 hours. The team took the time to hide the wires as much as possible and space the lights to provide appropriate coverage. Mike and his team went over the operation of the system and ensure all of our questions were answered. The work area was cleaned up and the table/chairs restored to their pre-installation location. The lights themselves are impressive and add a very good ambiance to the pergola/yard. The lights only illuminate the intended area and do not overwhelm the rest of our yard. We were so impressed with the experience that we asked Mike for an estimate for installing lights on the front of our house. Our overall experience was very positive-from Mike, to Kim in the office who responded to e-mail questions quickly and completely to the crew who assisted Mike. The downlighting that we chose for the backyard mimics natural moonlight where the fixtures are located overhead in trees with the light shining down from above, creating a beautiful moonlit effect across the yard. We also incorporated some aesthetic uplighting to further lighten up the yard a little more.
