"They started in a timely fashin and finished in the as promised. <br /> Several trees had to be removed to clear the space and that was done quickly with the people he had helping. <br /> Having done some concrete work in my younger days I was pleased to see they did a great job prepping and even sunk rods in the existing concrete to keep the sections from shifting.  The finished job is professional and matches the original perfectly.. <br /> Job site was cleaned and looks great.  I would use them for any conrete work I needed. <br />"

"Everything went great. The two employees dispatched to our home were prompt, polite, and wasted no time getting to work. They repaired 3 broken PVC pipe breaks, 3 sprinkler heads, and adjusted several more. Took about two hours. The foreman took me on a zone by zone tour when they had finished to make sure everything was working properly. Good job Rick."

"I have to say that dealing with Jason O'krent was wonderful! I have absolutely nothing but good things to say about him. We did have an issue on the kitchen floors that I felt weren't installed correctly and after talking with Jason and showing him the problem, he had someone here immediately to correct the issue. THAT was the first incident that proved they were honest about the installation having a lifetime warranty. He will move mountains to make sure you are a happy customer! Next was when we had a water leak and needed to replace carpet and pad. Thankfully, we had enough spare carpet, but no padding. I called Jason, so that I could buy the same pad as the rest of the room and he had me measure the area, had the warehouse cut the exact pad the next morning, AND when I went to pick it up - - he gave it to me at NO CHARGE!! You can believe, the "big box" stores would NEVER do that!! Please, call him for your flooring needs. They've been in business for over 100 years in San Antonio and it's SERVICE above all... but also check their prices. You're going to get much better grade flooring that you cannot get at the "big boxes" AND the price is comperable.... what a great surprise for me! Please, check out O'krent and give Jason a call, you'll be a happy customer with awesome people to WITH and beautiful floors!! Don't tell him I told you - - but in my book, he's a PRINCE!"

"Nick shows up at our house the same day I called for a quote which was great.  Very nice, professional sales guy which also happens to be the owner.  We got right outside and came up with an idea of what we wanted.  Slab and patio cover.  Nick proceeded to explain his product, which he rated basically top of the line.  We were quoted for the cement slab, patio cover in sandstone color, 2 fan beams and "wiring" for the fans.  He mentioned having this big roof and fancy posts in the warehouse that someone backed out of getting from him, that he wanted to sell quick since they had been sitting in the warehouse for quite some time (which makes me wonder why now!)  We were quoted $16,950.  We went ahead and made a deal and shook hands. He went ahead and got all the paperwork ready.  I handed him our lot information, and a SIGNED paper which my HOA provides, in where he can speak to my HOA if needed. He asked if HOA required the roof to be shingled.  I told him I didn't know.  He said "ok I will ask, I deal with them everyday".  So it rained for almost 2 months by the time they were able to start.  First the concrete guy couldn't start the one day because of one of his workers.  That was finished fine, no issues.  Then the patio guy calls, due to come out the next morning, but he backed out because he had to drive so far.  Then he couldn't finish in 1 day because of one of his workers.  I'm like really! Ridiculous.  He installs a post which gets all scratched up.  Nick takes care of it with no issue.  Great service there.  Everything is going well until we find out that this "wiring" we paid for only meant they would leave wires hanging and not even connected to electricity! Are you kidding!?  He stated we would just buy the fans and put them up ourselves! Well, how can we do that with no electricity!? The patio guy also happens to be an electrician and mentioned it would cost him $500 for a permit.  I call City of Converse and guess what.  It costs $35. So we let that one go, but then it just got worse.  Our patio cover was not going to be shingled, unless we paid extra.  WHAT!? Never did he mention there would be a price difference! Not like $200 extra, but $950 (supposedly cheap) Now let me say that UNFORTUNATELY it doesn't state that in our contract and yes that is partly OUR FAULT.  This contract is not very specific anyways; again, our fault.  I call him up and he's just rude, telling me we just want something for FREE.  I explained the conversation we had and that we were under the impression that it was included either way with or without the shingles.  Why not quote me that price before you leave, just in case we needed it? Since you still had to ask the HOA!? He's full of it.  Nothing but cocky! Telling me we got a great deal. Yelled at me saying I'm playing victim and if I want to live my life that way ect.  Really!? Really professional.  We are having friends come over soon for summer BBQ's and they will NOT get his recommendation.  That is not how we handle business.  No apology for the MISUNDERSTANING.  NONE. The fact that he mentioned being so successful already, again COCKY.  Why not take a $950 loss if you're sooooo successful already.  Even Mcdonald's does that everyday.  Customer is always right.  But then again, not in the contract.  Lesson learned; but definitely will be passing this word around!.  If I could take this d*** thing apart and shove it in his face I would! <br />"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Karnes City, TX

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
