"Dan came out to give us an assessment about the health of an old cedar we have next to our home. I was concerned that he wouldn't be "straight" and would try to upsell services. However, I really wanted an experienced arborist to let me know why parts of my tree appear to be dying. Dan checked our tree out thoroughly and gave us his opinion that the tree is stressed but will most likely bounce back over the next several months. He then went on to look at a number of other trees on our property -- ALL AT NO CHARGE TO US -- and without trying to sell us any services. I have complete confidence in Dan and Eastside Tree Works. Ammon, the owner is knowledgeable, personable, and truly cares that you walk away having had a good experience. "Darell Emel's was very responsive at first when I had the incident.  They provided expert advice which lead to me removing all three trees.  An arborist was the estimator.  The estimate matched the final price.  The crew showed up when they said they would, the job was clean and professional.  The only problem was that this was a busy time for them and they needed a piece of equipment to remove the tree from  my neighbor's yard and did not have the piece that would accomplish the job so they came out a week later to finish because the equipment was being used on some other project.  They do respond to emergency situations but are limited based on equipment and promised jobs.  Overall, it was a better experience than I had expected.
